This is not true. Northern Governors forum have long endorsed state police. The Nigerian Governors Forum have given go-ahead for state police. The delay is coming from President Tinubu. He is the one playing games.

Better face reality, old man. We need far more than just 30 billion naira for a state to have state police...unless you just want a minature version of the Nigeria police in every state that would be chased away by bandits at first fight.

30 billion naira don't cut it. Once salaries and contracts and other things have been paid , there won't be enough

If you want a decent police force, not a miniature version of the Nigeria police, you got to spend the money

Well, at the end of the day, no state can afford a well equipped state police, when even your federal government can't afford a well equipped National police, and frequently has to call the army to save their blushes.
