This is not true. Northern Governors forum have long endorsed state police. The Nigerian Governors Forum have given go-ahead for state police. The delay is coming from President Tinubu. He is the one playing games.

No I am not doubting the amount but the states are going to need even far more than 500 billion naira monthly to set up a standard police force .

30 billion naira don't cut it. Once salaries and contracts and other things have been paid , there won't be enough

If you want a decent police force, not a miniature version of the Nigeria police, you got to spend the money
