Sports › See How I Believed In Barca And We Eventually Scaled Through The Round Of 16 (sc by piperson(op): 7:52am On Mar 09, 2017*. Modified: 10:13am On Mar 09, 2017 |
so after the Paris st German 4-0 thrashing of my team, for some all hope was lost, most people felt barca was out of the champions league, as a big fan of barcelona, I received lots of inbox from friends and foes mocking barcelona's incompetence on the field against Paris st Germans and was told on how it was impossible for a turn around after the humiliating result on the UEFA ' champions league round of 16
fast forward to 9/3/2017
barca put 6 pass Paris st Germans against their 1 goal, making it 6-5 on aggregate on the favour of barcelona
here are some screen shots of the chat on facebook

Science/Technology › See The Snake Killed By Some Children, Old Woman Says Its Harmless (photo) by piperson(op): 3:08pm On Mar 02, 2017 |
So this snake was killed today, according to a little boy, he saw the snake moving in a circular motion around a baby, he said he saw a woman close by and alerted her but she said it was harmless, unconvinced, he rushed to his elder brother and told him.seconds later, his elder bro rushed out with a stick which was used in killing the snake, and the woman frowned upon for being reluctant to do anything about the situation
others claim the woman a wicked mind but she stood er ground sayings the snake was harmless
I can't really tell but is this snake really harmless?

Eke40seven: I think the MODs and Nairaland are displaying the reason why human life values nothing in Nigeria. In a sane country, that corpse would have been covered up.
In a sane country, the family of the deceased will sue whoever published these pictures online. I plead with Seun and the mods to apply caution in posting pictures of dead people and accident victims. It goes against every ethics of journalism or even against the norms of a civil society. Many a time, these victims have families and loved ones and these gory pictures do not depict how they would want to be remembered by their loved ones. Even victims who survive these accidents go through psychological trauma and have life long psychological scars, many never recover from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many go through nightmares. Could you imagine a girl who had gone through great stress to make up and look good, then probably became a victim of an accident, do you think she would want the bloodied mess of her body to be on display everywhere on the internet? Or may be a mourning mother who just recovered from the sad loss of a loved son on opening a Facebook page, incidentally got to see a religious post with the inscription against the picture of her son's body in a jelly of blood and tissues, "Type "Amen", if you don't want to be a victim of accident this year". Sad sad! Please, Mods take note. I will keep recycling this message until this message reaches the right channels. sorry if the post offended you |
