Incidentally records show that Suleimani was an American asset in iraq and worked closely with USA in their fight against Al Qaeda in Afghanistan as well. So how can someone who cooperated with USA now be tagged a terrorist by the same USA whose orders he followed?

Same records show that Suleimani was not linked to 9/11. Not just Suleimani but Iran as a whole were not linked to 9/11. These records are from USA themselves.

The reason Suleimani was taken out, is because he held a forum and he made a speech insulting Trump of USA, calling him a gambler and threatening that he will hurt US President and Americans.

That is not how a Military General who represents a country speaks, he was more j.anjaweed than a Military Head of a Sovereign State, so he had to be taken out as a Janja,weed Militant.

Suliemani isnt a terrorist but a trained high ranking Military General, he wasnt a fugitive as he travelled legally into Iraq and cleared customs and imigration.. what evidence does the US have on him and why wasnt he arrested if they can prove any allegation, why kill a career serving man who merely followed orders of his constituitionaly recognised President like similar US Generals and Army

Suliemani was the one who was very instrumental to the destruction of Isis in Iraq. He was no terrorist. He worked closely with USA before and the moment he stood against USA and their creation known as ISIS he became an enemy and had to be eliminated since he knew too much

Soleimani has been on US radar like you said...since Bush, then Obama before Trump.

Bush spent 8yrs, Obama spent 8, total of 16. The fact they contained and monitored him meant something.

Sometimes you are better off keeping your enemy under watch where you can read all his intents and plots. If you take him out you eliminate your source for information on the opposition camp.

Soleimani is just a head of a military unit...he is not the head of the military itself and not the head of the political structure of Iran.

Now Iran will see that they had been too open if US could just that easily get head of their Guard unit .....and they will begin to close up and even stage a phony structure to camouflage their behind the scene schemings.

I dont mind that US protects its assets in the region...in fact they are entitled to, but this elimination will notvbe received well by guys in CIA who need to keep track on Solimani to maintain their espionage advantage over Iran.
