Ruke1990: my great grand father was a successful business man who was childless until the wife left him due to her family pressure. The woman conceived unknown to them both and later put to birth in the village after leaving her husband. The son was a clear copy of the husband. Now my great grandfather was unaware of this till old age. The man was a very successful business man with lands and properties in warri. You know what, at old age when news got to him that his wife later gave birth to a son months after seperation who looked exactly like him, he was overjoyed and located his son to the village. Parked all his property to the village and tried to no avail to convince the son (my grandfather) to come to warri and take over his lands and houses now that he is too old. Why? My grandfather was equally a business person, successful in his own right who had three trucks and other vehicles travelling to the north and east to deliver goods. He was also into construction and was not willing to abandon his trade to go take over his father business. Those properties in warri are were lost after the man's death. No one else had an idea of where the lands and houses are located. My great grandfather traded with the British importers menh that is interesting. issues like this are synonymous with the rich, imagine those property he left behind are gone jus like that, |

kunle4toyeyaho: Banks were operating different accounting year end under Soludo. Some banks financial end was March while some had September as theirs. It was Sanusi that mandated banks to adopt same year end date and this really reduced malpractices in the sector. Many banks were not strong as being portrayed pre- Sanusi and the results of various tests carried when SLS assumed office arrested to this fact.Yes,Soludo introduced $25billion capital base but many bad practices still went on under his watch. Soludo never got Yar'Adua's proper approval before he went to the press to brief the whole world about his plan to redominate Naira in 2007. Naira redomination was an unnecessary policy as at that time. I agree SLS has his own excesses as well but I believe he was a better CBN Governor than Soludo. redomination of the naira was very necessary to fight the inflation that has being on upward scale though soludo did not follow the right channel does not dent his image, you mean same sanusi that almost introduce N5000 note, his economic polices where zero. |
