By the way, how can we have working and upcoming car plants in Nigeria, yet we import used ones with their prices completing with the prices of Nigerian made vehicles? Can our local manufacturers give us vehicles at cheaper rates and by this discourage importation of old bangers from all over the world?

The same goes for Nigerian rice. The price competes with the price of foreign made rice, yet the cost of production and delivery to warehouses are not the same.

the problem is the system, even though i use a tokumbo am in support of what you typed. to stop this foreign used cares first place higher tariffs on them to discourage importers and buyers, car manufactures should also make car financing available abroad they do car financing alot if you defualt they repossess the car and resell to others.

india is a good example of using high tariffs to discourage import and promote locally made goods, trump is doing something similar now. produce in my country to enjoy patronage

As the bus pulled out of Jibowu Terminal, I leaned back in my seat, ready for the long journey ahead.
