A heartbroken woman in Owerri breaks down in tears, publicly begging Nigerians for help with transport fare back to Lagos after allegedly being brought in to campaign for President Bola Tinubu. In this emotional viral clip, she directly calls out Seyi Tinubu, Cubana Chief Priest, and Obi Cubana, claiming she traveled from Lagos to Owerri for the APC campaign under the City Boy Movement. She says they promised her freezer, generator, cash compensation, and other mobilization items – but nothing was delivered. Now stranded with no money to return home, she pleads:
“Nigerians please help me, I need transport fare. Seyi Tinubu, I came all the way from Lagos to Owerri to campaign for your father, President Tinubu and I didn’t receive freezer and generator. You promised us money too and I didn’t receive anything. I need compensation. Now I don’t have money to return to Lagos.”
This raw moment highlights the frustrations around political mobilization, unfulfilled promises, and vote-buying allegations in Nigerian politics ahead of future elections.
What do you think – is this the real face of campaign "empowerment"? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
If i was your BF, husband, family or friend, i would advise that the faith you put in to make the move can move you back. You'll know its the self entitled creatures who think they are owed an existence
Richtaiwo: So, because judges are provided with official residences befitting their status, they should stop being judges?
Does Sowore understand that the judiciary is a coequal arm of government? While the heads of the executive and legislature live in official mansions, head of the judiciary should live in 1 room apartments?
Even if previous administrations neglected the welfare of the judiciary, the current administration appears to be addressing it. Criticism should be guided by reason, not a show of madness.
Tell.me the lack of critique and the show of madness. Its ppl like you that have made ppl in govt spending all we gat to be demi gods. Why not provide better prisons. Have the judges been so impoverished.....?! I smell a minion Time will reveal. Truth is all
SixSeven: I am not going to defend anyone but I know lecturers get some extra benefits. I am wondering why a lecturer will post his payslip, your personal information to prove what point? Back to the extra benefits, one of them will be housing. I don't know what the accommodation was. Some schools have staff quarters which is housing benefit and when people compare salaries, they forget that part. If you have children, they may go to that school free as a staff.
Their academic calendars typically include long breaks between semesters. Although lecturers still do some work during these periods, they usually have more downtime than many corporate roles. Compared with many private-sector jobs, lecturers may teach only a few hours per week. Much of the rest of the time can be self-scheduled. Outside exam periods, schedules can be relatively flexible.
Lecturers often have access to sports centers, libraries, staff clubs, campus transportation systems and other amenities that are usually free or very inexpensive.
When people compare lecturers’ salaries to private-sector salaries in Nigeria, they often ignore the cost savings from housing, schooling, healthcare, and utilities. Those benefits can reduce major household expenses that private-sector workers typically pay fully out of pocket.
