Education in Nigeria gets less than 3 billion dollars annually. That is supposed to voer hundreds of primary and secondary schools nationwide, and at least 200 tertiary institutions.

Meanwhile in 2009, ASUU and FG signed an agreement that proposed that universites needed 7 billion dollars alone in extra funding over 2 years. Naturally little of the money has been paid.

Then there is the fact that fees in polytechinics, universites, etc, are kept too low for them to earn money well enough

Why can "t Nigeria be restructured so that each region will manage the educational institution that is in its own region?

The free money crude oil brought to Nigeria was grossly abused, stolen and under developed.

NIGERIA is facing a precarious situation to the extent that the poorer states in the north is bringing down the rich and much more prosperous states like Lagos, Ondo, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom etc

After wasting years sitting down at home waiting for government to call off the strikes.

Banks and other institution will be demanding for graduate of 22- 28 years for employment?

Can Any logical student see the fight on their behalf? when within the strike period, month end, lecturers go still see alert, like wise those idiotic government officials. whereas, the student will be in his house incurring house rents and wallowing in mumulity of the fact that his brain would have turned upside down at resumption. who dem EPP!

Hai God, my heart goes out to those schooling. Thank God I've left this phaze, most likely would never continue schooling in this country all this ASUU and ASUP nonsense is just too much.

The monies these uni or poly charges student plus federal and state government allocations, what do they do with those funds? The cooperative they run, what do they do with the proceeds?

Federal government have their faults but these people too are not left out.

Nigerian government doesn't prioritize education simply b'cos they failed to understand that education is the bedrock of development. Things will only get worse under this dullard(PMB) administration
