The major difference between Nokia 5.3 and 5.4 is the cameras

Are into basic photography or a camera lover ?

No, I barely snap, mostly interested on the interface, battery and general performance.

Check the price difference between the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5.4 then

But no much difference between both

For 3-4 years ?

Nokia then

I think redmi give only 1 Android OS updates, that is Android 11 is sure for you

Nokia on the other hand gives 2 years update, Android 12 is sure for you

For battery life

Grade below
Wish nokia can at least do a 5000mah battery smartphone on an midrange, I saw umidigi a9 the other day someone ordered it through jumia, you need to see impressive battery life of 5150mah doing 15 hours gaming and 20 hours on video film watching, one thing here is the price is way cheaper than even nokia 2.4 2gb ram

15 hour gaming ??
Are you sure you know what you are talking about ?

Na tetrix the person play?
Also Mah doesn't necessarily mean the battery will last longer though, mi is a heavy UI

You can still get yourself a power bank

Lastly please avoid umdigi brand, like 20% of their devices are usually defective, from personal experience

Nokia uses snapdragon chipset which is very power efficient this means a 4000mAh will last very long.

Umidigi on the other hand use mediatek chipset which aren't power efficient as snapdragon, they hide this flaw by using big batteries(5000mAh)

What you said about snapdragon being power efficient depends on how well a phone software is optimized infact nokia 2.4 which runs on mediatek p22 lasts longer than the new nokia 5.4 and 5.3, so your claim is wrong.

Umdigi runs on Android one, but what I am on about this time is the durability of their devices. I don't think they offer updates on their devices the way Nokia does.

Nokia 2.4 I guess houses a 4,500mah battery, so it should last longer by default because it is the same company that optimizes them both(Nokia 5.3, Nokia 2.4).

Nokia 2.4 comes with 4500mAh to supplement the less power efficient helio p22

Nokia 5.4 on the other hand has snapdragon 662 chipset on a 4000mah.

Thats why I said OEMs using mediatek chipset increase battery capacity to cover up for the less efficient mediatek chipset.

Hello fellas,
I know this is a Nokia thread but I'm thorn in between 2 phones and would love sincere response towards helping me make the right choice.

The two phones are Nokia 5.3 vs Xiaomi poco m3. They both have similar specs but here are some differences

Nokia has a smaller battery 4000mah vs 6000

Nokia has 720p display vs 1080p for m3. I don't care about this though

Nokia shares the second sim slot with memory card

Nokia has a bigger ram 6gb vs 4gb

Nokia has a better camera quality based on reviews I've seen despite the m3 carrying a 48mp and Nokia carrying a 13mp.

So for those of you that have used the Nokia 5.3 how long does the battery last and with what level of usage? I feel it's possible that Nokia optimized the 4000mah for the 720p screen and will therefore may give as much usage time as 6000mah on a 1080p screen.

So with this little review, which of the two phones will you recommend?

Run from the Poco m3

KingAlabi:

Don't get the wrong idea @bolded

I purchased the 5.3 from jumia when it was still 74k
And during black Friday the price really dropped

Since review on Poco m3 has been dropped for you

Let me just drop small on Nokia 5.3

Battery life - trust me you will doubt yourself if it is really a 4000mah battery, it doesn't last as long as the Poco m3 obviously but you will know it is just excellent.

Display - every one has their preferences, but 720p on the Nokia is good enough

Ram - 6gb Anybody telling you a 6gb and 4gb ram will perform at the same rate is just lying to you, not discouraging you on the Poco m3, but the Poco has more system apps on that 4gb ram (bloatware) which I presume the accessible ram will just be 1-2gb, Nokia is a Android one device, no bloatwares, came clean, just Google apps, you have 3-4 gb available for you to play around with

Camera - I don't know of the Poco, but Nokia default camera app is wack, you solve this with Gcam and you will think that it's definitely not this device taking this shots.

Choose wisely
Ram management on the poco M3 is absolutely terrible
Just avoid that phone.

You criticize mediatek that's why I had to prove you wrong using the same nokia as an example, that umidigi a9 is stock Android should last even longer than nokia 2.4 because it is well optimized not just its using a G25, even redmi 9a with the heavy mi ui does last talk more of umidigi a9 which is a stock Android, the only problem I have with umidigi is probably no service center in Nigeria or the issue of defective products

If you want to compare how long Nokia 2.4 and redmi 9a lasts, have you use both before?

Redmi 9a has a 5000mah battery!, It should last more theoretically.

What other tech features are you talking about?
Lastly, Nokia and umidigi shouldn't be in the same sentence when mentioning durability.
