We all know DEEP DOWN within us who these "unknown gunmen" are, even the sponsors, enablers and supporters of these "UGM" haven't hidden their solidarity and support for their activities in the East... we know why these unknown gunmen are killing security personnels, sacking police stations, checkpoints and carting away weapons which they are stockpiling. Now the motives for these attacks are two fold:-

(1) Revenge for the hundreds of young Igbo youths and unarmed Ipob members that have been brutally killed by the Nigerian security forces over the past few years, we all remember the Emene incident where the DSS invaded and killed defenceless Igbo youths simply because they identified with an ideology, we all remember the Aba massacre back in 2015 I believe where soldiers attacked and opened fire with live bullets on an evangelical team of IPOB members whose only offence was that they were bearing Biafran flags and insignias... we remember Obigbo, we remember operation python dance in Abia state and countless other incidents of sadistic and needles killings of Biafrans... It was a typical pattern all these years to see soldiers armed with machine guns and combat gears to confront IPOB members carrying sticks, stones and Biafran flags (complete mismatch) and the resultant clash will of course be more Igbo youths dropped... So yeah these unknown gunmen are back for REVENGE, and we're seeing the results now across the SE.

(2) ESN are stockpiling weapons to face the Fulani menace: logistics in terms of arms and ammunition was always going to be difficult to acquire in the East because of the nature of our terrain which doesn't allow for easy smuggling or access to sophisticated weapons. Unlike the Niger Delta where they have the numerous creek outlets where weapons can easily be smuggled in, or the vast sahel plains of the North where bandits can receive weapons from war-torn areas like Chad, Niger republic, Mali, Libya and other neighbouring countries where the proliferation of weapons won't be a problem... the South East unfortunately is blessed with the geography or nature of crisis to acquire all these sophisticated military assault weapons to take the fight to well armed Fulani terrorist elements in our forests... so how else can ESN get these weapons? by attacking security personnels and seizing their weapons.

So these unknown gunmen are not Fulani herdsmen or government planted moles as some wanna-be CIA agents here are claiming... we know who these unknown gunmen are.

All you are trying to do is to pin the killings on ESN,even when they have not claimed to do so..
How many threads have you created now? All desperately trying to blame without facts. Hate filled bunch!
Looks like you guys have sent your bandits down east to scare off the security agencies and to start killing civilians?
It will backfire... It will prove to be the biggest mistake you ever made..
