Unidentified hoodlums have demolished Bishop Smith Secondary School’s mosque in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

DAILY POST reports that the demolishing of the mosque which was carried out in the wee hours of Tuesday, occurred a few hours after the state government warned that “It will not condone such reckless behaviours.”

Another report claimed that the school authorities forcefully asked Muslim students of the school to remove their hijabs before being sent back home to allow peace to prevail.

Meanwhile, during a visit to the C&S College, Sabo Oke, in Ilorin, at about 12noon, security agencies were still keeping vigil at the institution, as youths resisted the opening of the school to students and staff in compliance with the directive by the state government.

While elders of the C&S movement agreed that the school be opened to allow students and staff commence classes, the youths who occupied the inside premises of the school remained adamant and ready for the consequences.

The staff and teachers were seen outside the school premises in groups discussing the situation.

DAILY POST gathered that the youths allegedly electrified a part of the school’s gate to make any forceful opening difficult.

However, at about 1.20pm, the gate was eventually opened after a successful dialogue between the angry youths and elders of the C&S movement.

With the opening of the school, all the ten mission schools shut down by the state government over the hijab issue are now fully back to work.

Missionary schools built from sweat of Ilorin Yoruba Christians were siezed by Northern military decree and given to be managed by the government.

Same thing happened all over Nigeria. In Igbo land such standard schools lost their credibility immediately the government took over them. Today they produce cultists.

In northern Nigeria, all government schools are built together with mosques inside them with churches not allowed an inch. In northern Nigeria also, all females going to government schools except for Christian dominated areas are forced to wear the hijab. Muslims have always exploited the peaceful nature of Christians for ages.

Why would mosques be allowed to be built in Christian schools? How many schools did Muslims build in Kwara? While Christians invest in building sound education for their generations, Muslims build mosques and centres for Arabic or Muslim education.

Kwara state government should build new schools in these communities, build in both mosques and churches and prescribe that everyone is free to practice what he believes. Hijab can be allowed in the schools. If the Christians wants to continue in their missionary school, they should be free also.

I don't understand this unnecessary tension for crying out loud. Why force the Christians to allow Muslim kids wear hijab in their missionary schools?

Our useless leaders in South East will not build a single church in school and will be telling you how religion is separated from the state. If the northerners are not separating religion from states why are we? Islam is a religion mixed a lot with politics and such influence have eroded Christian dominations as has been witnessed in the middle East.

The best way to check Islamization is to become more Christianized. We should better get more Christianized else our future generations are in serious danger.

let me ask bitter question, can a Muslim school allow Christians and other students attend without Hijab or building their religious centers there?

this is a simple matter, this is a Christian school, if your child can't attend without Hijab, take her. to a Muslim school or other school that will allow her wear hijab. I don't see what's difficult in doing this.

This will change sooner in this 21st century
Because the whole world is getting tired of them
Hindus, jews, even the so called atheists that like to support them to spite christianity are tired of them.

From Europe to asia. From Americas to Africa.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I see a rising of a new global religion/cult in this 21st that will be aimed at putting islam into extinction for good.

The only time you see peace in this religion is when its people subdues the rest.
Give them an inch, they'll ask for more.
Allow hijab, they'll push for mosque, then change of name from Christian missionary to local name. Then force all students to follow/abide by Islamic rules.
Ask a simple question, why not establish Islamic schools.
Note, Christian missionary schools was the reason the south was far ahead of the North in learning. The north saw the gap and through the military, tried to close the gap by taking over mission schools. Now, they can't even manage them any more.
That kwara governor is looking for distraction.

Muslims are the cause of this problem. Whenever they're in dominance, they try to destroy anything that isn't Islam even if its good.

But when they are not in majority, they will be preaching peace

What I stated is locations where Muslims are in dominant. Anyway, I don't have full idea of Kogi state but I know of Kano and other core northern states. You cannot use Kogi or any middle belt state as a point of reference when you talk of Northern extremism.

Is Islam and Christen is true peaceful religious? Bolo Haram in North East of Nigeria, Hijab in North Central of Nigeria all under pretend of religion killing, injured damaged fellow human being life and property and said they defend religious or God.What verse of Bible and Holly Qur'an support violence and against peace? Illiterate religious scholar..I take my kudo's for traditional religious worshipers motto" Take it or leave it'' what is annoying in that words.since my teenage till today I don't witnessed such religion problem in Eastern part of this country where only Christen and traditional religious worshipers exist.
