Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation on Wednesday described as false the statement made by Osita Chidoka, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Aviation Minister that Chief Obafemi Awolowo introduced ethnic politics into Nigeria.

In a post on his social media handles, Fani-Kayode said contrary to Chidoka’s claim, ethnic politics was introduced by others outside Yorubaland long before Awolowo came on the scene and before his political party, Action Group (AG) was formed.

He wrote: “Awolowo was unforgiving, he introduced ethnic politics to Nigeria” – Chief Osita Chidoka, former Minister of Aviation.

“This is false. Awolowo did NOT introduce ethnic politics to Nigeria. Ethnic politics was introduced by OTHERS from OUTSIDE Yorubaland long before Awolowo came on the scene and Action Group was formed”.
“Facts are sacred and opinion is cheap. Historical revisionism is a very dangerous and irresponsible thing. I know the history inside out”.

When the OPC arrested killer Wakilu, this idiot was the first animal that said the man OPC arrested was not the killer Wakilu. But the police went ahead to sue that man in court. FFK no talk again.

Now it's a common and public knowledge that Nnamdi Azikiwe's NCNC won the majority seats in Western House of Assembly and was supposed to become Premier of Western region. But a night before the house was inaugurated, Awolowo approached his fellow Yorubas that had won in NCNC and challenged them against allowing an "Igbo man" to come from East and become Premier of Yoruba people.

The next day at the inauguration, some NCNC guys switched to AG (Action Group) and gave Awolowo's party the majority allowing him to become Premier.

After that, the stupid fool drank poison and died like a fool he is.

Today, Tinubu is toeing even line Awolowo toed by leading the SW to vote against GEJ because he felt he favoured the Igbos more. And like Awolowo, he too will exit the scene disgracefully.

This is the true story that shall never be distorted. Never!

Let it be stamped in the sands of time that Awolowo introduced tribal politics in Nigeria.

Let's face what is before us and stop all these distractions of ethnic politics.

But military officers, mostly of Igbo extraction, killed the leaders of other regions ( killed Sardauna and Premier Ahmadu Bello in the North and killed Akintola Premier of the West) and spared their own political leaders.

Today, the poor ones who became governors because of Awolowo's free education are increasing school fees every day, they have forgotten who they are, where they come from

Imagine Awolowo lived 20 more years as the Premier of the Western Region Nigeria, Yoruba land would be greater than America, simply because we were fast moving forward, yes I mean that.
