Taaa shut down you frustrated envious bastard. What are you doing on this thread? You are not even from Anambra. Are you not supposed to be somewhere calling for good governance in your backward shithole state?

Check all my posts and see how people are giving it "likes ", that's how to know approval rating. Chimaadeoye is my brother like , they are all of brothers. But you are not even from Anambra, not to talk of being one of us.

Stop displaying your envy on this thread, go and discuss about your backward shithole state. Anambra is not the reason your state is useless, worthless and backward.

Hopeless illiterate cheesy

I wonder why people here always insult one another. I have been to many places in Nigeria. Though some places are a little bit better, averagely they're all the same. Any state with a slum has its counterpart in another state. Even our nation's capital has very dirty places too. Nobody in Nigeria can say his state is neat or that his state is developed. So, please you people need to soft pedal and make this place worthwhile, because I think this thread carries the most insults on Nairaland.

You are a complete lunatic and that's why people like cjrane, chimaadeoya, , etc are all ignoring you and your 10,000 monikers. Mktinsight those sane people i mentioned sees you as evil owl, they don't even consider you normal to respond to your tirade. I am the only one that has successfully contained you and your madness, because I specialize in handling mad people like you. Imbecilic bastard. cheesy

Mktinsight is the main reason. Mktinsight is a demon that doesn't like good news, that's why whenever someone posts the international airport pictures, he jumps out from his hole and start making efforts to divert our attention, but so far he has been failing because we know his evil plans.

mktinsight:
Is there an Anambra Ministry of Planning? Just look at the chaos on that road and the problems it is causing:

1) Massive Traffic Congestion
2) Filthy Gutters and trash everywhere
3) A concentration for touts and criminals
4) A haven for Obiano's favorite constituency - wheel barrow traders
5) A massive health and security risk
Oga, where do you propose to employ the millions of wheelbarrow traders when you kick them off the streets, is it in shell or diamond bank? You do not cut off your nose to spite your face! your lofty dreams ought to be tempered with a considerable dose of realism!
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by custainmowole: 6:11pm On Mar 27, 2021

The whole poverty excuse is total nonsense. Give those barrow hawkers the stadium land to sell and they would refuse. They are like ticks riding on the back of market traffic. Stealing traffic from legitimate shop owners by bribing authorities. They destroy business for those that pay hundreds of thousands for stalls. They make commerce primitive. It is so bad they even now sell in the gutters.

I have a relative who sells vegetables inside one of the markets. She pays 100,000 a year plus tax. Under Obiano illegal hawkers mostly from Ebonyi and Enugu state park in front of the markets and pay 100 naira per day selling vegetables illegally. Her business is doing badly as a result.

One cannot cater for all of Nigerias unemployed in the name of street trading. People should go back to farming instead of constituting a nuisance. Those that pay for shops should reap the benefit of the market. Street trading should be banned and replaced with periodic regulated farmers market in enclosed spaces.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by custainmowole: 6:35pm On Mar 27, 2021
Bla Bla Bla..hawkers are everywhere in Nigeria. Anambra is among the states with least hawkers because the state has organized markets in all the major cities and towns of the state. All you do here is to spew nonsense. Mktinsight go home and rest you have failed in your lying propaganda.

In all, this terminal building promises to be one of the most beautiful in the country too!
They are obviously making great efforts to build it exactly as it appears in the prototype. I hope they will also try to replicate the car park with areas planted with flowers and palm or aesthetic trees.

Overall, the extremely high-quality delivery of this project is beyond contest. I just hope they hand the entire land area planned for the Aerotropolis as an annex to be supervised by the Awka Capital Development Authority to have a strong supervisory agency to ensure illegal markets/structures, rubbish lock-up shops, or truck parks are not allowed to spring in the area and turn it into another Ochanja. Finding a strong and credible private real-estate investor like the one doing the Awka Millenium City to sign an MOU on the Anambra Airport City project would be a great step towards getting the Aerotropolis project right and saving government funds from going into the project.

Hopefully, when the main airport access road is completed, steps will be taken to ensure landscaping with trees and road furniture such as standard road signs and street lights are installed on it. Like in the last picture below.

Yes absolutely. Set up airport management company like actda. Also we must never hand this to federal government or concession it. It must remain as state owned. The vultures will soon start hovering around the state. This airport if done right will be second busiest in nigeria. They have done eveything right that all the big airlines in the world will want to land there. All they want to see is traffic. If the south east keys into this well. It will be mind blowing. The East and Anambra is about to have an economic boom never witnessed before. We are the biggest travellers in Nigeria. The sand around runway and taxiway must be planted with grass if not paved. We dont want a dusty airport. Landscaping should be top notch.

I totally agree with your submission. Especially on the use of a reputable real-estate company to develop an aerotropolis of the future.
Strong oversight of that project is required becasue even Abuja master plan is often violated, talkmore leaving the development of the airport city without a strong oversight agency to ensure strict adherance to the development plan.
