Criminal Withdrawal By Access Bank by Nobody: 9:04am On Apr 03, 2021
I check my account balance Yesterday and saw that i have small change there. So this morning my son was Crying that he doesn't want to eat the food his mom cooked Yesterday, so i said i will go to POS and withdraw the little change and buy something for him. In trying the withdraw the money they said insufficient balance, when i check my account balance i found not #600 is missing and i didn't receive any alart to indicate why the money was withdrawn. I called the customer care they said the money was for ALART CHARGES. My question are: Are there any charges like that? And why with they withdraw my money without notifying me.

Re: Criminal Withdrawal By Access Bank by Nobody: 8:30pm On Apr 03, 2021
Did same to me 31 night. 660 naira charged for SMS alerts. Basically these charges come from using your bank to buy airtime and data.

They pile it up and take it in one fell swoop at the end of every month.

Everything nigeria is always fraud

Nigerian Leaders will be duping Nigerians everyday

As you are avoiding being scammed by Yahoo boys, you're also unknowingly being scammed by people who should protect your money

Is there a spirit of suppression and oppression in Nigeria that says that no matter what I must always take advantage of every position given

Why do we hurt ourselves so much.gosh

Even police ,vio, frsc, lastma etc will be extorting and harassing commercial drivers that are already feeding from hand to mouth

Lecturer will want to extort you before you can pass

Employer will want to off your pant before he can give you job

Secretary Will Want to collect money before she allows you to submit file in a government parastatal

Infact the only time a Nigerian will not take undue advantage over you is when he knows he has no advantage over you.including the one wearing masquerade long hijab dress and sister s.u

Nobody should come here and make stupid complaints here about that useless Access bank.

There are other banks, so if you chose to remain with that criminal bank its at your own peril. Stop disturbing us.

I have left them since 2018 with a zero naira account balance.

Our banking system is messed up
They are stealing from us
This and that.

All it will cost u is to get to the bank and print ur acct statement. Then check your transactions to see if the sms alert is justified or not. U can't be buying 100 naira credit everyday without being charged sms alert at the end of the month.

What the banks have done is to remove sms alert charges for transactions u didn't carry out by urself eg monthly charges. It doesn't make sense to charge u at the end of the month and still bill u 4 naira charge for the charges alert. That's y u don't get those charge alerts anymore.

It's called Stamp Duty, and it's the federal government through FIRS that is charging that as tax, not the banks.

All deposit banks and financial institutions are required to charge stamp duties of NGN 50 on every eligible transaction above NGN 10,000

So you can see, the money doesn't go to the bank at all, but to your corrupt government.
If you're going to be angry at anyone, be angry at your government's politicians that embezzle the tax you pay

Yes, there is a bank charge called alert charge. Whenever you receive alerts (debit or credit) from your bank via SMS, you are charged a certain amount.

Alert charges are allowed to accumulate over a period of 1-3 months, and then debited from your account.

When you go to the bank tell them to disable sms notification. Rather go for email notification.
