Agreement for the 1400km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Rail has been reached , and the signing would be done by FedGovt/Amaechi in few weeks to connect 10 states in the Southeast , SouthSouth with Lagos in 2years. There will be 22stations.

takpe-Ajaokuta-Warri Railway project was first awarded in 1987.The project was initially planned to be delivered in five years. However, it was abandoned for over 30 years due to paucity of funds.

The construction of the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri railway line was abandoned after about 254 kilometres had been constructed.

Ignore Rwanda.Let talk about 80,000kms of road network in a country the size of South Africa (has 750,000Kms) - meanwhile Kenya road network with half the size - is about 250,000kms - just about 100K kms to be rightly sized.

10 times Tanzania - about same size as South Africa in landmass. Tanzania badly need federal or devolved gov. Everything happens in Dar - the port city - which lies some 2,000 kms from it western border almost. At least kenya is expanding rapidly murram and gravel roads...thanks to devolved or federal govs.
