I didn't state that. It is all over the internet. I think the panel is called Samsung E40 Material OLED Display. It is a flexible panel. It is on the K40 and Mi11.

The differences in the display specs of the two phones you compared are features the companies are offering using the panel. The S21 should offer more. The K40 and the Mi11 should also offer more.
Personally, I don't like the fact that the Redmi Note 10 does not offer DC dimming for now. A software update can fix it.

That a smaller 6.67 inches screen on the Redmi can only offer 395 ppi, while a bigger 6.8 inches on the Samsung offers a whooping 515 ppi density tells you all you need to know about the display on the Redmi.

You can't even begin to imagine how horrible an experience it will be watching videos on a 6.6 inches screen with 395ppi density! I bet you, whatever panel used by Redmi is a watered down, low quality panel.

You're comparing a $280 device to one that costs over $1k, doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

The previous guy that said that note 10 pro uses the same display as samsung S series is capping while you're just completely wrong in your assertions.

There's certainly no samsung device in the same price range as note 10 pro that has a better display and in the flagship level Mi 11 literally has the best display on a phone at the moment and it's even cheaper than the base S21

I'm not talking about stated specifications on paper. My assertions are based on the performance and actual user experience of those so called high-end specs on Redmi phones in real life.

Which one have you used that didn't match up ?

Xiaomi devices get some of the most positive user feedbacks so I don't understand what you're getting at

In that case, I'll need rational explanations why I hated watching videos on a phone with a 1080p 395ppi display, preferring instead to watch same videos with a phone that costs 50k less with 720p 293ppi display cuz the display quality of the cheaper phone was so much better than that of the more expensive Redmi phone?

How do you explain the fact that the sound quality of my lowly itel phone was much better than that of Redmi 9? My friends wondered why I still used my itel phone for music both via earpiece and sound systems until they saw what I saw. The difference was clear!

LoL, this is obviously a reach
Redmi 9 certainly doesn't have a really good 1080p display when you compare it to other 1080p devices that are obviously more expensive than it but it's certainly better than 720p devices unless you consider being brighter as being better.

I'm pretty sure you can't name another device from another company that gives a FHD display at that price range so I don't understand why you want it's FHD to be on par with more expensive devices.

The way you sound it's very clear you don't really know much about phones which is why you've been on the case of 395ppi as if that's the major determinant of the displays quality

Well... I may not know much about phones. But, do I really need such extensive knowledge of phones in this case, when my assertions are based on personal experience gained from handling both phones?
I'm an audiophile, I know what quality sound sounds like. And from mere observation, a quality display is obvious!! I can tell you with conviction that the sound quality of itel A33 is better than that of Redmi 9 and display quality of infinix smart 2 is better as well. Anyone saying otherwise is being biased!
Mind you, I'm not saying that the sound and display on the itel and infinix are that much quality, but, somehow, they are just better than that of the Redmi. And what baffles me most is that these phones are much much cheaper than the Redmi!

720p display at 293ppi or whatever better than a 1080p display at 395ppi?

Dude?! Let's be real about this.

Imagine me saying the 1242p OLED display at around 458ppi on the iPhone XS Max is better than the 1644p OLED display at 643ppi on Sony Xperia Pro. How would that sound in the ears of a techy person?

Now concerning your hatred when it comes to watching videos on a 1080p. Like seriously? You prefer watching videos on a 720p display? Please don't be offended but you need your eye thoroughly checked.

Lastly, please which Itel phone has better sound quality than Redmi 9? Abeg I want to check it out for myself. If you'd mentioned Infinix I would've said maybe it's because of their Dirac Sound. Itel? Really? Are you one of those Transsion Marketers?

Now there's no Transsion phone since their existence with better all round quality and performance than Xiaomi's Redmi Note 9Pro.
I'm not even talking about their Poco, MI or Black Shark series.

My last Transsion phone was Camon 11 phone.

My brother I never looked back since I sold that phone. Update na Zero, no features that'll wow you to even defend them proudly unless you're one of their marketers.

Please let us be honest with our statements and stop misleading people because a large portion of our population here in Africa are tech illiterates and that's why Transsion are making it big here.

While Xiaomi are waving their flags GLOBALLY.

A brand that is battling with Apple and Samsung for World Market Share. That's the brand you're comparing with Tecno, Infinix and Itel? Una mumu ehn, it's out of this world.

My bro, those numbers mean alot, they aren't there for decorations depending on the brand though. Or are you pointing out that Xiaomi used a 720p display panel then market it as a 1080p display?

Then I guess anyone who has ever held a Redmi 9 side by side with a Transsion phone didn't notice any difference in display quality.

Here's my say, If the display panel of the Redmi's 1080p is of inferior quality as you say then the display panel of a 720p used by Transsion must be the worst display ever seen by man on a smartphone. My apologies, but that's the plain thruth.

As for the Audio, I leave that to you and your conscience.

I'm talking about the quality of the display panel and not those numbers. Just know that once the hardware is inferior, 1080p or whatever it is called means nothing! That not withstanding, I've compared Redmi 9's so called 1080p display with a much cheaper phone that has a 720p display using the same video files, and guess what? The 720p display was so much better! How do you explain this?
