Hello All,

How are we doing?

Please I will need your assistance here,

I am applying for a study visa to Canada and due to a sum received into my account, a Deed gift and LOE has been prepared for me by my Mum.

Now the issue is that, she is in Canada at the moment for a visit and this was clearly stated on the LOE.

We want to Notarize this Deed gift. Can I go ahead and Notarize it here in Nigeria??..... Or must the Deed gift be Notarized in Canada, because my Mum is presently there huh

Notorization of gift deed is not compulsory

You can go ahead to notarize it here in Nigeria. There's nothing wrong with that. Both Canadian and Nigerian laws recognize electronic/proxy signing of documents. As long as there's no indication of fraud.
