A throwback tweet of Nigerian superstar, Wizkid begging legendary rapper M.I Abaga for attention on the social media platform as far back as 2010 is catching the attention of Nigerians.

Wizkid inked a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment in 2009. He co-wrote “Omoge You Too Much”, a song from Banky W.’s The W Experience album. He also worked with Naeto C, Ikechukwu and M.I while developing his craft.

Taking to Twitter in the first month of 2010, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, pitched his talent to M.I Abaga.

At that time, Jude Abaga was already a star, he won Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards, and was nominated in the Best International Act category at the BET Awards 2010. He rose to prominence in 2006 when his song “Crowd Mentality” became popular in Jos, plateau state, Nigeria.
