Household has nothing to do with family. Household is house with people living in it. They could be unrelated roommates. - see attached for relationship btw Household Head and rest of the household. Electricity need to be connected where there are people living in it. Nobody goes sticking electricity in unoccupied houses. All we care about is how many of 7M Ghanian household have connected with electricity, water and other utilites. Long story about number of houses in Ghana (what if they are house for cows or pigs ) will not cover your gov propaganda. You know you've connected about 4M out 7M. The rest is laughable. Just30:

Okay I found why you have crazy figures.....I knew something was WRONG. Warning - this is BEYOND YOUR CATHOLIC EDUCATION background,. EVOLUTION OF GHANA’S ELECTRIFICATION POLICY AND ACCESS TARGETS Electricity access definitions vary, and indeed there is more than one in Ghana alone. Two different forms of electricity access definitions are used in Ghana by recognised state institutions: the Ministry of Power (MoP) and the Ghana Statistical Services (GSS). MoP defines access to electricity in a community as the total population in the community that has been connected to the grid, irrespective of the number of households that have connection. 16 By this definition, thepopulation in the particular community is counted as having access to electricity because it is assumed that they are within reach of the grid and could connect by signing a connection agreement with the utility whenever they desired and are able to pay the appropriate connection fees. For this reason, even though MoP estimated electricity access in 2010 to be about 72% (meaning 72% of Ghana’s population lived in communities with access to the grid), GSS pegged household access to electricity in 2010 at 64.2%, according to the population and housing census conducted in the same https://backend.orbit.dtu.dk/ws/portalfiles/portal/138357483/Kemausuor_and_Ackom_draft_23.12.2015.pdf Conclusion: You have 90% community access to electricity; and about 60% for household in their dwelling places. This Ghana definition of electricity access is worse than India - at least India define it as staying 50 meters from electricity pole - even if you don't have it in your own house. Just30: |

That is why we have 90% access rate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPEqqIFKWzU In this day and age, more than 50% of Kenyans are still living without electricity. That is a national disgrace. http://ggea.net/news/govt-settles-almost-90-of-ameri-power-debt/ This is not BOT = Proper BOT - Build operate and Transfer - for free. This is BOOT = Build, OWN, operate and Transfer. Ameri invested 500M; They made money in 5yrs; And Ghana gov bought the plant back for 500M. The plant cost US$510 million and it was to be managed by its owners for a period of five years and transferred to the Government of Ghana under the Build Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) agreement. The Ameri deal was one of the numbers of power deals signed under the past administration which generated public anger with the then opposition New Patriotic Party accusing that administration of ripping off the nation. Speaking to energynewsafrica.com, a source at the Ministry of Energy disclosed that a little over US$447 million out of the total figure of US$ $510 million has been paid, representing about 87 per cent as of November 2020. We already know MOP is measuring community access - nobody really give a damn about that kind of nonsense. It seem GSS does a better job. We wait for your delayed census - The MINI ZOO - may never afford it - to know what accurate electricity access. In 2010 - you were at 65% or around. Kenya has religiously held census every 10yrs without fail. This what give your ACCURATE data - not feel good nonsense of community access to electricity. Which explain why Ghana FAILS THE PICTURE TEST. The data looks good - but the reality on the ground as seen on video or pictures - is Chad or Niger or South Sudan. Just30: |

Loook at the fool - connecting 30,000 household per year - South Sudan do more than that, Kenya connect about 1.5m household annually - ABOUT HALF YOUR ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD CONNECTED ![]() Kenya has for the last few years had the WORLD FASTEST electrification And this despite being largely rural. Kenya connectivity pace is also among top three fastest across the globe, alongside Afghanistan and Cambodia. The three countries have electrified their populations at annual rates exceeding seven percent since 2010, way above the global average electrification rate of 0.3 percent.29 May 2020 Remember kenya in 2005 had only 12% electrification with 0.4m customers in the grid. Now the figure is more than 8M household connected to the grid...all achieved in 15yrs. We can achieve universal electricity access in 3yrs. Just30: |

AMERI The 17 times bankrupt nation - indoctrinated by Vatican - continue to make bad decision after another - if not paying the Brits 76B dollars not to sit on their golden stool - it electricity deals like this Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo fired the country’s energy minister due to proposals for a renegotiation of a $510 million private power deal with Africa Middle East Resources Investment Ltd. Under a proposal that was submitted to lawmakers with the backing of Akufo-Addo last month, a new operator would take over running the plant in a deal that would’ve incurred Ghana $825 million in fresh costs, according to an estimate by Kwadwo Poku, country director of Gasop Oil Ghana Ltd., an Accra-based oil explorer. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-07/ghana-energy-minister-fired-due-to-power-deal-says-presidency |

ovcwality:GDP is the estimated amount of money exchange in a given timeframe. Its not a good economic indicator of the state of economy. Example: If a farmer used to produce 5 bags of maize and sells 2, the sell of the 2 bags will be added in gdp. If the farmer increases the production from 5 to 10 bags but still sells 2, it will be calculated that the production is the same since he still sold 2. If he make still makes 5 and increase sells by 4 it will be calculated that the economy has grown while in reality the production is still the same. Plus, using GDP PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) is more accurate than Nominal GDP sincel nominal uses the exchange rate against the dollar while PPP compares the commodity value of a nations against the US. A nations central bank can rise the value of its currency of some reason and it will be seen that the nominal GDP is higher while in reality its not. Example: USD against the Tanzanian Shilling is 1 to 2300 while by PPP is 1 to 880. If you google the average price of a burger in the US and Tanzania it is $5 and Tsh. 4500/= respectively. By this using forex rate a normal $5 beef burger should cost Tsh.11500 while by PPP it cost Tsh. 4400. From the above, you can see if GDP is used for measure of economic performance, PPP is more accurate than Nominal. |

The Arabs who were then owning the plant have operated it for 5 years and recouped all their monies and have handed the facility to the government of Ghana at no cost just like the contracts stipulated. IN the power purchasing agreement with ECG, Ameri will be paid 8.5 million dollars for the energy it produces per month for 5 years. We didn't pay a cent for the plant but for the energy it produced for 5 years at market rate. That is a smart move. The snapshot from the agreements is below

I just give you a report from the Eastern Region of Ghana where 400 communities were connected and all the 30 000 homes in them where given free meters and connected to the grid. Those are just the communities connected to the grid in Eastern Region alone, Ghana has 16 regions. Out of the 3 million people who didn't have electricity as at 2018 in Ghana, 1.5 million of them were connected to the grid. That's leaves a few communities with a combine population of 1.5 million for Ghana to reach universal access. |

rvp2018:Ameri is one of the smartest power agreements that was signed in 2015 . Ghana paid absolutely nothing for the plant. Ghanaians paying the same tariffs at a competitive market rate for the power Ameri produced for 5 years has given us a free plant. Ameri will be producing power for Ghana for the next 15 to 20 years with all the money going to VRA. That is a smart energy agreement. Because kenyan politicians are not smart, Ormat geothermal will keep being used by the Israelis to smoke your country dry.
