I bought infinix smart 5 (4g version) but it doesn't display 4g, reviews on the net and in the shop I bought said it was a 4g phone but I haven't seen any 4g... I bought the X657C version... please help..

Try putting in a 4g activated sim and try knowing if ur network provider offers 4g coverage in ur area; for the record, H+ is not 4g oh! 4g is either displayed as "LTE" or 4g only

I am using a certified 4g sim, but nothing changes

it has 2g only, 3gonly, 2g/3g only and 2g/3g/4g auto... No 4g only

Make sure u are using a 4g sim, make sure u are in a 4g coverage area. restart your phone
If problem persist, u can download 4g lite or any other app that allows u to choose 4g only for your device from playstore

if the settings only allow 4g/3g/2g
and you want it to be lte only then you have to force 4g using *#*#4636#*#* but you may not longer receive calls till you switch back......signing out

Change it to 2g/3g/4g..
This means that, the network will be shifting from 2g, to 3g, to 4g, depending on which is the strongest.
Your phone has no issues.

then try checking if ur area has 4g coverage; put the sim in another person's phone, if it shows 4g, then it could be possible that u didn't buy the 4g variant; seems this smart 5 has 2 variants, I think the 2g 32g variant is 2/3g (i think the x657 variant is 2g/ 3g only)

If the phone uses 2 Sims check Sim 2 to see if 4g is locked on one of the Sims.

And I forgot,was in a hurry so I forgot to tell you before,the So called 4v version of the smart 5 is actually 4g lite.
So I suggest you check the network speed,if its up to 2mb/s or more,you're good to go
It must not show 4g
