Any sane forward thinking company will not open HQ in a dying country like Nigeria. Boasting about FB is nothing. FB that's owned by a government controlled puppet. Make naija continue. When other African countries gap it after the decline of oil, e eyes go shine. I love twitter more for picking a working African country like Ghana. A country that's working towards being the North Korea of Africa is where an internet company should have its HQ? A country that has its top political member sue the owner is where it should set up HQ? Mtcheew. Kudos to Jack |

Sad we have clowns who thinks the position they are in is their fathers birthright. Especially that Isa patanmi and Lai mohammed. I can bet twitters disdain of the two is part of the decision. |

Nice but spoiled by the obvious political undertones. Na PDP and APC keep us for this condition. The two are the same. |

You forget northern politicians will say twitter is against the north and it's an attack against the North. You also forgot to add how the next government in power will wakeup and say twitter owes billions in taxes. Y should twitter want to come to Nigeria when even the leaders don't have faith in Nigeria. All the children of our leaders school abroad, go to hospital abroad, marry abroad. They only use Nigeria for looting and that's all. |

I knw u're just looking 4 petty banters but ur psychotic scrawny ass aint getting one. I'm dead sure u south africans woulda been dying 4rm envy if d HQ was situated at Nigeria. |

Silentgroper:blah blah blah. I've already seen 3 threads discussing this none issue. You aren't mad that Twitter didn't open the office in Nigeria, you are just mad that it opened in Ghana. Smh Look, in South Africa we wouldn't have cared whether it opened in Lagos or Timbuktu, we are used to such things in any case, it's not a big deal. They opened the office in Ghana we are still cool...you on the other hand are still whining and whining. You are petty people |

omonnakoda:As long as it's legal. Companies are not obligated to pay taxes they don't owe. You're forgetting all the employees in UK who got paid by twitter, and in turn paid income tax. You're forgetting the real estate and related taxes (either rented or bought) that Twitter pays for their offices. You're forgetting all the companies that provide services (from food, to cleaning, insurance, security) that are paid by Twitter. |

IronGalaxy:Yes we are. This is a funny poke at the reality in this country, and comedy can cause self-reflection. I wish our leaders can read it and realize they are only hurting this country with their antics. |
