Hardly a beautiful display. Almost everyone has put a foot wrong at least once.

But Silva, Rudiger and Jorginho were my best performers for that half. Kante has been good as well, as has Azpi. The wingbacks have done well defensively.

The forwards have made no offensive contributions of note. But Havertz has helped a lot by dropping deep to relieve pressure and kink up, Pulisic has helped with his dribbles, and Mount has been very present assisting Chilwell on the left, and he's displayed some good link up play as well.

Definitely lacking the urgency and flair we saw three days ago. But we're here to get the job done. So far so good.

45mins away from the semis.

The same Kante who replaced Fabregas in midfield and immediately took Chelsea from 10th to Champions.

Fabregas came back in the team to replace Matic the next season and immediately took us to 5th.

Yes, my anti-Fab agenda is very much alive. I don't accept Greek gifts such as accepting beautiful assists in exchange for midfield collapse.

He played a good half a season and got targeted by opposition managers as a weak point to beat Chelsea after that. From that point he was more liability than asset.
