Despite the financial shortfall, the govt is still embarking on meaningless and unprofitable projects like constructing rail way from Nigeria to Niger Republic while the politicians are codedly stealing our money. We are deep shit in this country. Its unfortunate we voted clueless people into govt.

Lies bro.

There is something about human resources. Those two regions will do well. They have the human resources to do so. That is why even in other countries, they win awards in many fields.

The current system makes states lazy. Why should I work when I can get free money? No one will actually. Take the oil away and let all regions tap into their natural blessings. There are so many ways to make money as a country without oil.
Don't mind that guy,
For example my state Ondo. I'm sure Ondo state can generate a lot of revenue from Cocoa and Bitumen Only.

But ask what Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger is bringing to the table.
Absolutely Nothing.

The current fiscal structure of the country is not sustainable my brothers and sisters. It's time for the fiscal restructuring of the nation.

Many great countries including the United States were built on the foundation of their founding fathers.

The case is the opposite for Nigeria where our leaders departed a long time ago from the foundation of fiscal federalism (regions generating revenue and disbursing to the Federal Government) established by our founding fathers. We as a nation moved from that foundation to build on sinking sand; now the building looks like it will fall with a big bang. WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WHICH IS FISCAL FEDERALISM OR WE ARE FINISHED AS A NATION.

I challenge you that you don't produce more agricultural products than South west.
Poultry
Fishing
Pigs rearing
Rabbits rearing
Tomatoes productions
Vegetables
Cocoa
Palm oil (probably Only IMO and Edo/akwaibom can have a edge against us)

List them.

What about textile and clothes production?
Lol, do you guys produce clothes in the East?
Lol, you guys self. undecided

Business is not only buying and selling of electronics and second hand clothes.

Oil is $66, with over 1.5million barrels being exported.
APC is busy stealing enough money for 2023.

States should learn how to generate more funds instead of always complaining of cash crunch.
Some states are just lazy and waiting on Government.

Where is the strength?
For over 100 years of togetherness, how far have we gone. Is better you call a spade a spade. Before the discovery of oil, each zone managed her resources in a way that it generated revenue for them. After oil was discovered, Nigerians now forgot what feed them before the discovery of oil.

As long as Buhari is not impeached or leaves office by natural means, Nigeria will always be in trouble on all fronts.
It's the sad fact of today's Nigeria

Poor knowledge and application of finance and economics in general would be Nigeria's doom.

It's pitiful that we have this kind of insincere, hopeless and wasteful government, they kept manipulating covid-19 even when it was every clear that Nigeria had no more issue with it,billions of naira wasted away when offices were shut down and government's expenditure kept mounting up.Borrowing keeps mounting up still no respite or relief we have finance minister who lacks innovative and creative ideas the only thing she knows is how to borrow, costs of governance is horrendous and no leader is ready to make sacrifice in the interest of the citizenry.I now believe that the said money that was said to be printed was really printed,Obaseki only exposed what FG did in secrecy.
