HalpyBee:
The rate at which food items are expensive in the market is alarming! Go to the market and you will know how our money has devalued. #1000 cannot even buy a congo of rice and garri. Few years back, this same #1000 will buy a congo of rice, beans, garri and you will even collect change.

The disheartening thing is that nobody is talking about it and it's not like people are comfortable. But you know Nigerians, we easily adapt to changes, suffering and smiling is our logo. You won't know how these high prices of food has hit a lot of families until you visit their household.
What a pity!
Inflation will be reduce starting june 2022, by then election will be around the corner.

Dollar will come down to 380.

Fuel 145.

APC is working. After election everything will inflate.

The truth is if we want change, we are going to have to bring about that change Ourselves.
We can Curse,Complain and Criticise the Government but it won't solve the problem.

Come 2023 we have to create a paradigm shift with the right Choices of leaders in all spheres of Nigerian political actors and selective leaderships.

Both past and present leadership administrations are Clueless and incompetent ...it's not a hard to realize puzzle.
We need young visionary leaders with empathy to navigate Nigeria to where she ought to be.

One can't even call a spade a spade without been labeled an agent by enemies of the country.... If truly I'm a pdp (or any political party) agent may i not see the end of this year. But if I'm not, you will die a miserable death. Mark this day.

I don't know which index you people are using but I know that food items are all time high since I was born in this Nigeria.. Prices of food has skyrocketed even in the North where we believe the food items are coming from.

I pray for the country.. Let us all pray for Nigeria PLEASE, this is the ONLY country we have for NOW.
O sweet heavenly Father, before 2024 let there be nothing known as Nigeria.

Let the country disintergrate and lets all go our separate ways. Amen

Nigeria is the only country for you and maybe your household.

More Nigerians should go into farming. In Cameroon, food item/s is/are the cheapest you can get even if one is poor.

Grow your own food, raise your own. Food inflation problems solved. Community or compound gardens are almost non existent in Naija cities. No excuse for rural/village areas.
Wondering why many Northerners always seem to have an over abundance of food and livestock to ship around the country? And nevermind about criminals hijacking food trucks traveling to the south to do a honest tradehuh

Nigerian economy is in an unpalatable state.
We are in a recession which is one of the reasons for our cash crunch yet we're having inflation. Normally, cash crunch and recession should be greeted with deflation, which will give the government more leeway to spend to reflate the economy.
It seems as the government seeks to spend more, the economy suffers more. The fault lies with the CBN though and not the finance ministry as some people have claimed. Emefiele is living up to the qualities that endeared him to GEJ which is see no evil, and hear no evil. How can you a CBN governor support import ban without substitution? How can you support closing the land borders which you know helps your currency to benefit from trade with lesser CFA Franc? How can you be quiet in the face of multiple exchange rate and even growing influence of BDCs? What about artificial scarcity caused by the border closure?
I honestly believe emefiele is into some deep shit to be so serene in the face of the economic turbulence this country is in. A serious CBN governor would be banning BDCs now and encouraging importation.
If this continues, the Naira will soon become another Zimbabwe dollars in a few years.
