Breaking news apart from cholera, sewage, train stations and repetetive BS!
The long awaited Euro super league of top 4 La liga, EPL, Ligue 1 and Serie A may have FINALLY dawned.

Ofc UEFA are screeching in outrage certain to miss out on the moneypile fronted by JP Morgan.

Six English teams are expected to be part of plans for a breakaway European Super League, with an announcement due on Sunday night, Sky News understands.

Among the English clubs involved are Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

The project has been launched to rival UEFA's Champions League format which currently dominates European football.

Sky News' City editor Mark Kleinman said: "My understanding is that 12 clubs from across Europe including the six biggest English clubs have now signed up to this new format. The others include Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid."

Kleinman added: "The new league includes staggering sums of money that will be handed to the participating clubs. About $5billion has been committed to this new project by the American bank JP Morgan.

Is there anyone who would cry at watching thrice weekly Barca vs PSG/ Man C vs AC Milan/ Liverpool vs Juve or Inter vs Real games?
I DON'T think so! IIRC, this idea was first mooted around 06 and was nixed as UEFA said players would be exhausted and injury prone with such a high tempo of games.
Personally, I'm all for it.

You are now yelling, show us evidence that Lagos train is bigger than Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar and Ng'ong railways stations. Don't put blame on construction progress because the terminal space was completed long time ago and what's happening now is landscaping of the external environment. Let me repeat what I said earlier, Lagos railways station is below 4,000m² and is very much tiny when compared with the four stations I mentioned above.
Sharaaaap, Fool! What's this fool talking about. Lagos railway station is far bigger than any shitty crap nonsense you have in that dustbin zoo grin this is the terminal 1. It has 2 terminal. Far better than your crap.

Personally I'm against this as I feel we'll have lost the beauty of the sport and all the magical moments we've seen for the last couple of decades. It's better off when all the teams fight for their position in the champions League rather than give a free pass to teams like Arsenal and Tottenham which are mid table clubs.

Im really disappointed with my club for taking part in this.

The only good side to this is that we'll get more funds to strengthen our squad come next season grin

Yeah it has 2 terminals each measuring 2000m². Nairobi terminal is 15,000m².

Back to critical sewage matters! Mid last year EVERYONE screamed when the gov evicted Kariobangi dwellers to develop the sewage treatment facility.
The truth is it WASN'T only COMPLETELY legal but the IMF loan facility for water and sewerage projects would've lapsed had the authorities not taken action.

THE chairlady’s assertions were corroborated by Daniel Kirugo. Kirugo is the senior chief of Muthua village in Uthiru location. I first met him in 2006 at the Kariobangi sewerage area. He was the second chief to have been posted to the area. “I know the history of the sewerage [land] very well. It is unfortunate what happened to the people, but the crux of the matter is, the self-help group’s papers are not legal. I’d know because I’ve kept in touch with some of the people who live there, the self-group’s wrangles with Jua Kali Light Industries group notwithstanding.

Life is a series of tradeoffs. Imo the downsides are negligible compared to the upsides which are:
- more money DIRECTLY into club coffers
-regular top flight football for fans and viewers.
Imagine watching UEFA final quality thrice weekly!

Yes both Ruai and Kariobangi sewage land had been grabbed - like many public utilities - in the existing slums and informal settlements. But good thing with kenya - eventually they will be recovered. Ruai had 3,000-4,000 reserve land for future sewage - but about 2,000 or more had been grabbed. Most of it was restored to the sewage and was the Kariobangi sewage estate.

Anyway with Phase 2 taking sewage to 70%.

We need to fix the 30% - and I suspect majority here are slums or informal settlements - and for example restore Nairobi Dam - from the mess that Kibera slum has created.

Nairobi badly need that dam - for water related acitivites.

"The Nairobi Dam situated next to Kibera was built in 1953 but fell into disuse in the late 1980s after years of pollution and subsequent colonisation by water hyacinth."

As for ACCRA, LAGOS and their Septic tanks smiley We leave them at mercies of Cholera when it rains; and their septic tanks overflow.

Ghana received a total of 279 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects valued at US$ 2.7b in 2020 in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The projects will go into areas such as manufacturing, agric, building and construction, services, mining, export trading and petroleum.

Frist of all, Accra does not have 2 million people and secondly, that is 30 years ago.

100% of Accra Sewage ends up in wastewater treatment facilities.

Atlantic ocean is not a wastewater treatment plant smiley

In the year 2006, about 200,000 m3 of FS was collected and dumped into the Atlantic Ocean without treatment [12]. In 2010 this figure increased to about 550,000 m3, as inferred from Koppelaar et al. [13].]

Total treated sewage in Accra is not even 5,000 m3/day

Over the years, Accra has had three major FS treatment plants, located at Achimota, Teshie-Nungua and Korle Gonno (Old Lavender Hill) [15, 16, 17], but Achimota and Korle Gonno have since been decommissioned. The Teshie-Nungua waste stabilisation ponds (10,000 metric tonnes capacity) [27] receive a daily FS loading of 80–100 m3 [9], [16]. Currently, Accra has several operational FS treatment plants with relatively modern technologies being used, the most prominent of them being the 2,000 m3/day capacity Lavender Hill faecal treatment plant (FTP). In addition to this, there is the Slamson Ghana cesspit treatment plant (400 m3/day capacity) situated at the Old Lavender Hill and the Kotoku FTP (1,000 m3/day capacity). The Safi Sana waste-to-energy plant (WTEP) and the Jekora Ventures Limited Fortifier Compost Plant (FCP) also use FS for the production of organic fertilisers and biofuel

Ruai - Dandora Sewage treatment plant - has about 5,000 acres of land - one of the largest treatment plant in Africa - with capacity of 160,000 cubic per day. What do you have in Ghana - largest I see is Lavender Hill - with 2,000 cubic meter capacity - and other very tiny ones.
