Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has challenged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State over the 12am to 4am curfew imposed by the Federal Government to curb the spread of COVID-19, Igbere TV reports.

The mother of two expressed her displeasure at the discomfort caused by the curfew in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, arguing that the restriction on movement was negatively affecting businesses and families.

She tagged Governor Sanwo-Olu and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, asking them to address the issue urgently.

“Is there still curfew in Lagos & why? Is it that corona virus moves between 12am – 4am or is there another reason why? Please I’m asking on behalf of all lounge, bar and club owners in Lagos, we are running into serious debt & loss, alot of us are closing down & it’s affecting lives & family, we need answers,” she wrote.

The 43-year-old added that policemen use the continued curfew as an opportunity to extort people.

Iyabo Ojo in November alleged that the government was after her life because of her participation in the #EndSARS protest against police brutality.

She said she woke up to a message from a friend that her name was being mentioned in government circles.

That came days after she publicly vowed never to support any politician in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) again.

I am sure a lot of people will call her several names. But come to think of it, she is asking some questions, either sensible or not sensible, someone needs to give answers. These people in government do us anyhow and give different orders because we fail to ask questions and act according. For example, the sudden compulsion of NIN registration and SIM Cards linking that has now been lifted; what happened that made them to put us into panic of running up and down to register? What later happened that made them lift the ban decree?

Because me too, I don't understand this 12AM to 4AM curfew of a thing, when it's so notable that lots of people are even sleeping at this period of the night. So what's the essence of the curfew?
