Quick glance at the data tells me Cholera is more of a burden in Ghana than in Kenya. In 2011 Kenya had only 70 cases, in the same year you had 10,600 cases. 8 out 10 regions of Ghana are Cholera inflicted while in Kenya its only 20 out of 47 counties (below half). In 2001 I read an autobiogaphy book by a Burkinabe Dagomba in 2001. It's not an ordinary book. However,as we've seen too many times already,the last 2 centuries of W African social history,invasion,colonialism,slave trading this voodoo is merely a natural outgrowth of a toxic socio cultural matrix,like mushrooms sprouting after the rains or the Serengeti post rains animal migrations.

In Nairobi - the smallest - The Kariobangi wastewater treatment plant has a capacity of 32,000 m3 per day and uses the trickling filter technology.

While Ruai - does about 80,000 m3 per day.
