Capaldi:Imagine beating Arsenal and Tottenham Black and blue every of the season and they are always at the bottom of the group, but somehow, they never leave the competition, and you still see them the next season. They will just be collecting their qualification money every season and be cleaning mouth. They may not even feel like winning the trophy self. |

I never knew people can be this dull. It seems they think clubs don't follow rules and regulations in a particular country they operate in. Imagine asking who is Boris the prime Minister of freaking Britain. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by timay(m): 8:16pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Bombblacks:He's the prime minister , so what? He's no different from the other MPs. Politics is more complex that just the Prime minister or President having a final say on things, except they are not practicing democracy. These guys are not dumb o. They have access to the best of lawyers in the world. They obviously didn't break any law, that is why even FIFA and UEFA haven't brought out anything to counter them, they are still consulting after over 24 hrs of announcement and they are yet to bring out any UEFA rule they broke. The only best thing UEFA president could do was rant in front of camera and issue threats without any legal standing. The fact that these big guys are so confident about it shows that they probably found a loop hole to exploit. The next best thing UEFA can do is to eat the humble pie and renegotiate with these big boys. Europe is not a banana republic, Any illegal declaration by any government or UEFA will be met with strong lawsuits by these big clubs and both clubs and UEFA probably knows that there will be no winner. UEFA lost all the cards when they failed to implement FFP rules to the letter to curtail the big boys , now they can't deal with the monsters they made. Let them enjoy what they created |

Greatihex:And why do you think Tottenham and Arsenal will always be at the bottom of the table with the revenue they are going to be getting? They can easily purchase better players and go toe to toe with the other clubs. You do know it's 15founding clubs and other 5 invited clubs right? It's drafted ten clubs into 2 groups then with play offs. |

Jodera:LOL. As predictable as clockwork. He couldn't defend his position on Arsenal's flailing footballing might and when hit hard with it, he goes "I'm a Chelsea fan!" Easy way out even as an unrelated defense because he wants to stoke a reaction - support. Predictably, you or anyone else didn't get involved until he pitched it as a "Chelsea fan versus some other fan" back-and-forth on a Chelsea thread. Here are the facts again: Arsenal are a midtable club and based on their form in years shouldn't be part of any Super League if footballing ability was the singular criterion. But rationality doesn't matter to you, does it, Jodera (- or like the Spanish would pronounce it, Hoedera) ? |

timay:It seems you think Britain is still part of the E.U Britain is no longer in the European union thanks to brexit so they can make any law they want against whatever that's not in the countries interest. If they consider the superleague a non legitimate tournament they can deny work permit to those clubs that means no foreign players van be signed. Fifa and Uefa can ban their players from participating in their competition meaning no World cup and Euros for them. England Football Fa can ban English players playing for the big 6 from being called up to the national team as well or even signing English players. |

Bombblacks:How many of the players have come out to voice out their displeasure over it? Only Ander Herrera, who left Man United cos he was offered a better pay package at PSG. If money wasn't his motivation, why didn't he stay at Man United? Nigga please........... If you know how much is in the offering for players of these clubs, dem go dey pray silently for ESL to come to fruition. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by izzou(m): 8:36pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Bombblacks:Most key players of some countries are in these Super league clubs. So who do you think would be crying if those players are banned? DeBruyne, Messi, Ronaldo, Ramos, and so on are vital to their country. Ban them and see their countries begging, instead of them I don't think any player would want to go against this. The reward is obviously massive |

DissTroy:So would you deny being a barca fan just because you defended an obvious lie someone said against Madrid? So you defending an obvious lie against Madrid makes you a Madrid fan? If the easy way out of you surrendering is by tagging Capa.ldi an arsenal fan, then so be it. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by OJURONGBE1(m): 8:39pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Bombblacks:So, who would lose in all of these? Denying your league the best of talents from other leagues and your national team the array of talents to qualify for UEFA & FIFA tournaments. Do you know how much in revenue will be lost by the EPL |

Bombblacks:But it’s a tricky situation, you know? Basically, Britain is no longer part of Europe, therefore they need to back UEFA for so many reasons. However, dont forget that it won’t make sense for them to screw the owners of the six clubs. If that happens, the investment community won’t be happy with the UK. You know what that means right? Especially considering the fact that COVID has humbled every economy. Tricky situation, the government should not interfere, or better still, tell UEFA to negotiate. |

nitrogen:@Bolded is what any sensible government will do. I'm sure that is what they plan to do underground. Abstain from the issue and let the clubs and FAs negotiate with themselves I'm sure Boris just made a statement today just to appeal to the current emotions of his people. They probably won't do shit after that |

izzou:That's the incentive to push them to come out and oppose the superleague. Messi won't want to miss the World cup same with Ronaldo not playing for Portugal again. Uefa and fifa has so many tricks to play. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by izzou(m): 8:51pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Bombblacks:And how would a world cup look like without those players representing their countries? I expect Spain to appeal or oppose the ban sef. Most of their key players would be affected. If you really think UEFA and FIFA have something tangible to hold on to, then you should think again. These guys must have planned this for a very long time. How come they waited for a semifinal before they announced? They were even fortunate to have three of their comrades in the semis. Imagine UEFA expelling them and giving PSG the title. The tournament don dey useless already The best bet is to talk to these guys. They are ready for anything you throw at them. They did plan for it |

Bombblacks:This bro thinks we are still in 1980s ![]() Money talks now. Back then football was passion, even club football is not even as lucrative because footballers are not even rich back in the days. The guys that played football those days did it for passion not for money because there was no money there as incentive that much. Reverse is the case today |
