Would you accept 50k to work in Lagos or 30k to work in Owerri, Imo State?

Lagos is a place where if you know what you are doing..... everything works....

Go for 30k job in imo ooo, everything in Lagos is expensive. House rent, food, transport etc. Better go for imo 30k job than coming to Lagos to suffer on that 50k job, except you have plans of looking for another pay job. 50k in Lagos is equivalent to 25k in imo

There is opportunity in Lagos than imo state.

Your 50K is equivalent to your 30k in Imo or even less.
You might have very little or no savings in Lagos.

Lagos offers opportunity to change job than imo.

Lagos is sweet if you have your own skill or handwork as its called but talking of working for someone i pity your life.

30k for imo will be better bcuz of cost of living in Lagos ,especially transport fares ..opportunities abound every where if only you could discover your potentials

And be sleeping in Oshodi under bridge later. Yeye dey smell. Please everyone must not live in Lagos. Lagos is already full. There are many people who live in other places in Nigeria and earn decent income to sustain their families.

I don't have the stats, but I strongly believe that Lagos State has more poor people than any other state in Nigeria. Hope is good, but what we hope for doesn't happen sometimes. Many people have lived in Lagos for years, hoping to make it in Lagos. There are opportunities everywhere; we just need to think and harness them.

OP, you should keep those points in mind before making a pick.

30K job in Imo, you will have your life with you and spend less but will hardly move forward in terms of getting better or bigger job.

50k job in Lagos, you spend more and lose your life in stress but stand a good chance of getting a better and bigger job.

In Lagos you might easily get another job, but what are your chances of getting another job in Imo

Both 50k and 30k can't get you anywhere, but you can use it to atleast get experience and also have some change to print CV, get T fare for interviews and other little hustle

Bottom line, between Imo and Lagos where do you think your career can grow from low paying job to high paying job
