Something they have been planning for donkey years,yet couldn't execute because they didn't av d brains to think it through,even with all their paid consultants and advisors.
No team being relegated and supporters not being brought in was a no no.
Even here I am I av an unrefined better proposal:
ESL of about 24-30 start up clubs:say 6 English,4 each Spain, Italy, germany.3 french=21.
One each Portugal,Holland,then remaining 5 or so from play off from other countries.
Then each season,5 teams get relegated to go back to their league,then 5 from play offs involving all European countries take their place.
FA cup stays,premier League of countries involving non ESL club stays.League or equivalent countries cups stays,but greatly shortened for d top clubs.
In this way,even a real Madrid,mutd,Barca,Bayern,city,psg,Chelsea etc,while aiming to be champion of d ESL also knows they could be relegated.
So the incentive and enormous rewards of winning a richer ESL is there,but the long held and exciting football format of being relegated when your season is poor remains.
But an Arsenal, Athletico,Barca or Inter cannot perpetually be in a league even when they have a terrible coach,mediocre players and terrible season.
