Leaders of countries in Africa should learn from the death of Chadian president Idriss Derby who died at the battle front in the quest to quell rebel insurgent against his government

Having ruled Chad for more than years, he was on the verge of returning for the sixth time when he was felled by the rebels on the battle front

In a well structure democracy, Derby would not be eligible to contest for up to thirty years in office. But typical like most African leaders he was manipulating the electoral process to guarantee him in office.

This was the sought of fate that Libyan leader, Moammar Ghaddafi suffered in the hands of the rebels who killed him, since then Libya has not known peace.

If not we'll handled Chad could be in the shoes of Libya as there is nothing on the ground that the rebels in Chad will drop their weapons

The moral lessons for African leaders should be to guarantee a stable democracy in their respective countries and desist from acts that prolong them in office contrary to the Constitution and wish if their people

They need to Know they don't have the Monopoly of office as there are better candidates that could supersede their achievements
