Governor Udom Emmanuel has endorsed Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Bassey Albert, popularly as his choice for the 2023 governorship election in Akwa Ibom state.

According to a highly impeccable source close to the seat of Government in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital, the decision to adopt Senator Albert popularly called OBA was reached more than a week ago after a meeting which was held at a popular hotel located along four lanes, in the state capital.


A source who attended the meeting told our reporter under the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the issue that “it was decided at the meeting which had the blessing of the Governor that OBA should be unanimously adopted as the 2023 flag bearer for the PDP.



“Before we met, a meeting was held with several prominent clergymen drawn from all over Nigeria and other parts of the world, to intercede and see who would be the Governor’s successor.


“It was revealed that OBA was the person.

“Following this revelation, Senator Bassey Albert who has not worshipped at the Government House Chapel for a very long time, was one of the prominent people who worshipped at the Chapel yesterday, which from the caliber of guests who attended the service was indeed a special one.

“Senator Bassey Albert, who is said to be very elated with this development, has warned his close aides never to talk about it until Governor Udom unveils the decision himself.”

Oron is part of eket senatorial district.
Power is shifting to uyo senatorial, and its the turn of itu-ibiono fed constituency to produce the governor.
I dont support OBA, first his wife is of igbo origin, and the boys that follows him everywhr... How will he pacify and settle these boys when he eventualy wins...

Am even seeing akpabio join forces with pdp come 2023 if presidential ticket doesnt favour him.

That's akpabio and not OBA. So relax. However I see people talking about things etc as if they don't know without these so called boys or thugs winning election in states like Akwa Ibom,rivers,Delta and bayelsa is just a mirage, whether to match akpabio or not isn't an issue after all our state politics has always been volatile even when akpabio was in PDP.
