Manchester City are considering activating their buyback clause of £50 million for Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

If Iheanacho's recent streak is not just a purple patch, he may have just saved his former club up to a £100 million in the transfer market as Haaland's staggering wages and transfer fee make clubs think twice about fighting for the Norwegian's signature.

The hottest topic on their fans forum doesn't mean the club is interested in signing him. It's only normal for the fans to talk since he was once a City player. City is not interested in Iheanacho!

I dnt see any truth or sense in this deal...city n pep going for the same player dt they bought, played n sold out of frustration..
pep would rather use de bruyne as an attack than sign kelz....players full market naa....d deal go really shock me

The news is expected.

For me its the wise thing any business man will do.If his form has come to stay, then I will give him another shot at becoming a top striker in the club.

Considering the economic impact of the covid 19,I don't see it wise for any club to spend millions of dollars on a player where you have an option for a good player at a cheaper rate.

As for people saying he failed to proof himself when he was there, its a normal thing. People improve with time.

Lukaku,Salah and De bruyne experienced the same thing at a point in their career but we know their story today. Or is it because Kelechi is an African player that's why we are all degrading him?.

Anyways, the decision is City's to make.
