Recently I got some funds which I thought would last me some while, but to my amusement, It didn’t. I’ve spent 2k in two days and I don’t even know what happened. A meal rn is about 300 Naira. Plus transport and other things. Before I knew it, the money had gone. Please can anyone suggest any good money management as a student because I’m not undertanding how everything just goes so fast in today’s economy. 1 Like |

E choke you? Don't let it shock you. It's the same everywhere now. Even for us that are working. The inflation is just too much. You just have to cut down on your expenses. If you don't need to go out (to places where youll pay TFare), don't go. Buy your food in bulk and stock up your pantry instead of buying in retail. Eat only when you're hungry. Buy only what you need. Lastly, look for a students hustle. |

Only spend money on absolutely necessary things and discipline yourself to keep to that. If you only spend money on absolutely necessary things and you still lack money or you're short of it and find it hard to keep up with finance, then it means your resources or revenue is lower than your needs and you need to upgrade it. Emmaxy9:The monikers above have given good advice similar to what I'll give too on how to limit your spending so I won't talk about that. But you can try tracking your spending daily. When I saw I spent a lot within few days I decided to record every penny spent and it has helped me see where I've been wasteful. You can record your spending with any document app (I use Google Docs) then sum up the amount you use at the end of every month, your income for that month and possibly savings. The only thing is that you'll have to force yourself to update the record everyday. If you forget (you'll surely forget) then try remembering your activities that day. |
