Hey guys it's been long I commented on this section.

For those that are already in Cyprus, hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful Island, though the pandemic have made things much difficult, like finding a job, but you guys will be alright

Please if you are already in Cyprus, and looking for a full-time job, like Construction, farm work or restaurant.

You can let me know, especially those that are skilled in Construction, like painting, welding, moulding, plaster, etc.

Instead of complaining there is no work, I will give you guys this information, go to this office address and register with them, they will find you work. That was how I got my first job until I got tired and stopped working. Their name is 'Saleh Danismanlik'.
Their office is in Lefkosa, Yenikent/Gonyeli precisely.

They will find you work both in hotel, restaurant or construction for both men and women, mind you, they will collect their agency commission when they give you job.

You see, construction, farm work or restaurant is not easy in this Island, added to the fact that this Turkish people will make sure that they over use you before they pay you. Most Nigerians stop working after 2 months. The little good thing about these jobs is that they will give you free substandard accommodation and feeding that way you can be able to save some money.

Good luck to you all!!!!

Go with both old and new passports and any other supporting docs that support you are the original person.

Since the passports are readable on machine and Turkish permit has your photo in the database no ish!

I am at the airport now.
With all documents including court affidavit and newspaper publication.
They said I should wait. They want to send a mail to turkey. And wait for OTB from them.. and my flight has already started boarding..

You can only apply for a long-term student visa in Turkey; German embassy in north Cyprus only issues short-stay visa not long stay.

I did one of my studies in Germany; the student visa procedure is very straightforward.

For those coming from Africa chances will be high if you block the requested money in the German bank; the alternative routes of looking for sponsor without cash block hardly work for those with African passport.

Meanwhile; in Turkey the processing may take nearly 6-8 weeks; in general they may have to hold on to your passport.

I know that most of the embassies are in Turkey, so you have to travel to Turkey for the visa processes and trust me its very easy once you have all the requirements.

I remembered my first few months on this Island.
It was short of what I expected, as a student trust me, you can never get a job that can pay your house rent, Internet, water, and electricity bills while going for your classes at they same time. It doesn't work. That is if you are even opportuned to get any work or meet the right people that will help you get a work

I nearly gave up because in as much as I can be able to pay my tuition fees from my small business at home, I needed a job that can pay these small bills and in doing so, not encroach on my academics.

I searched for schools in Germany through my LinkedIn Network, got accepted in some schools, did online interview and it was in the process of depositing 8,000 Euros to a German account that I couldn't proceed further, as I do not have such amount.

Hey house. Greetings to mr wip and every member.
I did apply for Cyprus International University and have paid for tuition fees and all of which I have spent close to 1.4m but couldn’t enter the country on March because my flight money wasn’t complete yet.
I am to go through OKTB but the person that helped process the admission said I can still enter on September but I will have to pay another $300 for deferring my admission.
It’s all confusing and I don’t know if I am on the right track. Please advise

There is no payment to defer admission. Just contact the university directly with your details to get a new admission letter.

They don’t pay for admission deferment.

According to the head of school, they did not specify they just in need for those teachers; you can apply and before offering you job they will interview you to ensure you meet the standard of their college since is an international college from there you can tell your location.

That’s how CIU is anyway. They have a phone number you can search to contact them also. Another faster way is to get in touch with the rector of the university.

First try to call them if you can’t still reach them through out this week. Email me I will send you the direct contact of the heads of the university there.

If you are very interested in Biotech, since they are not going to run it in January which likely due to number of admitted students not enough to open the program:

First option

You can select to join in May 2021 since the program will be opened by that time.

Second option

Also, I believe that you applied for the Biotech normal fast-track option! You can ask them to shift you to their Biotechnology - Advanced (Fast Track) option which seems to still be available for Jan 2021 pending the waitlist.

Third option

You may decide to take their Food Science Tech (its opened for Jan 2021) which has some similar courses with the biotech in the first semester, so after first semester you can switch back to your Biotech during Summer and get exemption of the related courses from FST.

Best wishes [hello sir, I have some questions concerning advanced diploma biotechnology in centennial college canada for jan 2022 session ]

Are you planning to join GAU for the summer semester? Generally, summer starts Around July, hence, travelling on May 26th is a waste of resources and noting you will be doing. If you are joining GAU for the Fall semester (September); it's totally unwise decision to come this early. Accommodation cost is averagely high and living expenses; its advisable to arrive just 10-15 days to the start of any semester you are joining.
