If you have not seen this movie then you better do...



I remember i was just home one day running through things when Mortal Kombat flashed through my mind, i immediately wished there was a latest Mortal Kombat film, funny enough I went online and I found it! at first I though I had some psychic powers so I immediately wished for a God of War movie then I did a google search, guess what I found? Nothing!



I have been a big fan of Mortal Kombat from the days of sega gaming console, Mortal Kombat was basically the game that destroys the SEGA game pad faster than any other game especially when one has to do a lot of fatailities like (B.B.Y.B.Y) if you understand what i just wrote there then you should be married with kids now... Lol...



Okay back to mortal kombat... This movie was obviously directed by one who is a fan of Mortal Kombat, the brutality is so on point, the camera moved right, the cinematography was great but trust me, a lot was wrong... it was all happening too fast, Mortal Kombat ought to be a 3 hours+ film.

I totally loved the movie. It was every MK Fan's wet dream
I have been a fan of the game ever since I was a kid playing it on Sega and you're right to say whoever made the movie is a hardcore fan.
Although a lot of critics gave it negetive reviews (I stopped listening to critics review of movies a long time ago)
It was still a dope ass movie.
I loved how the movie made use of some factors that have always been a recurring theme in the game such as;
The rivalry between scorpion and sub zero
Shan Tsungs manipulations
Sonya and kano's rivalry
How the normal humans got their special powers etc.

As for Cole young, he was never a character in the games but was created solely for the movie as a plot device to narrate and explain the story to the audience and other people who aren't fans of the game and don't know anything about it.
It is later revealed by Raiden that he is actually a descendant of Hanzo hasashi(scorpion) through his daughter who survived the attack by sub zero and his clan.

I'm a fan of MK. I wasn't too impressed with the movie. Subzero was too strong. Scorpion was too weak. Lui Kang became trash. Kung lao killed Goro-------Really?
I really thought they would show a little bit of fight between the Shirai Ryu fighters and lei kwei fighters.
I was really disappointed but in all it's still manageable. It's been long

It was Cole that killed Goro. Who the f***k is this guy? Of all the good fighters we have in MK.its this guy that had to kill him and it was even easy.

I actually loved the abilities of sub-zero, especially his ability to manipulate anything liquid into ice, even his ability to form objects like weapons with the ice, and to me the scorpion isn't too bad, I only hated the liu-kang character cuz he looks too weak, why did kung lao have to die so early, I'm not really impressed with the Raiden too. But I really loved kung lao too, he was given almost all his skills he has in the game, especially that his fatality he did .
