When you are through with secondary school
-------------------------------------------------------------------

* Don't rush into the university if your parents are broke because if you graduate from uni and you can't find your feet in the job market or you can't gather capital to start up a business, your parents will tackle you. You see that their mouth that urged you to pick jamb form and write post utme, that same mouth will complain of spending hell and denying themselves comfort to train you in school only for you to come out and become another kind of liability.

* Only attend a higher institution after your secondary school if you were an A student back in secondary school. I mean A not B. That way u have higher chances of graduating with a first class in uni. From my research, university education "mostly" favour poor kids when they graduate top of the class.

* if your parents are not rich or have a lot of connections, your best bet is learning a skill. Don't bother pushing yourself into the university just yet. Even if your parents want you to further your education. Respectfully tell them you will not. Let them be mad at you, it will only be for a while.

*Look for a skill that suits you, something you love and something that can put food on the table and help you raise money over the next couple of years. Don't go into learning a skill because a lot of people are doing it or you think a lot of people are making money from it. You may end up not making money like others. And if that happens, you may get frustrated.

* Before you get to 30, you can further your education. By then, you will have a better idea of what you want to study. What will fit better into your personality. You will also have an overall idea about what field will help you achieve your dreams and goals. Most of us wouldn't study the courses we studied back in uni today even if it's for free.

*If you have an inborn talent, like you can play football, u can sing well or whatever you think you are good at. Please combine those your talents with learning a skill or going to school(uni). Don't sit around doing nothing except playing football or singing and then dream of becoming the next Messi or Ronaldo; Burnaboy or wiskid. Of course you can, but dont rely too much on dreams. Sometimes dreams don't happen. Be smart, learn a skill or go to school incase your talents can't put food on your table so you can have something to fall back on.

#Peace✌️

@ op God will bless you for this.

Am 19 got through with secondary school while I was 16, wanted to go to university then but course I wanted to study was not offered in Nigerian universities so I learnt phone repair even though I know I will never use the skill wink.

Then I tried to learn coding but I no just fit. Lol

Well I later learnt a bunch of digital skills like copywriting, Facebook ads and Landing page design.

Currently am freelancing on Fiverr and I want to invest money into other ventures, my monthly earnings is in six figures.

If there is any action that I ever took that impacted me this way, that would be waiting to figure out myself before trying to go to the university .
