If Nigeria gets unity right, Africa will have a blueprint, and the rest of the world will have a case study. It is also a better economics overall.

There are countries with lesser population. Cape Verde for example is less that 1million people. And they are doing fine and far better than what is obtainable here in Nigeria. I see no reason why the minority can not stand on their own if need be. Afterall they are countries in the caribbean with less than 50k population.

We as Nigerians we are very confused people. Look at Tiv people that always fight themselves as well as every single tribe who are their neighbors.

Same tribe in Nigeria can fight and kill each other simply because of chieftaincy tussle or piece of land.

There is no majority tribe in Nigeria. And Nigeria does not consist of Yorubas, ibos or Hausa only. Nigeria consist of over 400 tribes. So, the notion that one or three tribes are going to dominate 400 tribes fall short of the truth.

Yoruba contributes nothing to national treasury of Nigeria. Ibo contributes nothing to national treasury of Nigeria. Hausa contributes nothing to national treasury of Nigeria.

I want to know if Nigeria breaks up, how will Yorubas or Hausa or ibos survive without oil money from ibibio, Ijaw or Edo state.

I pray Nigeria will break up sooner rather than later because I want to see how ibos, Yorubas and Hausas will survive.

People advocating for breakup are shortsighted, even among igbos that you think are homogenous, there are some that they categorize as osu's. The breakup of Nigeria will lead to further breakups of ethnic groups. Take for instance, the Scottish are already agitating for second referendum that will see Scotland become an independent country from the United kingdom, despite the first referendum ended with Scotland staying with the UK. But this second one if granted, we will see another country breaking out of United kingdom, it is just a matter of time before the Welsh, Ireland and other Kingdoms will be demanding for their own referendum, why, because the United kingdom exited from European Union.

Nigeria needs restructuring to free and protect the diversity of minority ethnic groups that make up this nation from the domination by majority groups. Mind you, the possibility of Africa producing one superpower country that will make the world respect black race has been curtailed if Nigeria breaks up. trust me they are compared to what may befall them if Nigeria disintegrate. Ipob will overun the major parts of Niger Delta to control or bunker oil. Ighòhó/OPC will overun the minor part of Niger Delta, Bokoharam/killerherdmen will overun the North Central and claim the land for grazing.
