Makelele used to sit and intercept, not like Kante that defends the whole pitch.

I'm not sure I've seen anybody know n world football quite like Kante. The closest I can think of is probably Arturo Vidal

Tuchel should just let them have the points on Saturday.
He should field Alonso, Gilmour, Tammy, Ziyech, CHO & Zouma and rest Kante ,Mount, Thiago Silva. I doubt if Westham can beat Everton.

Yea I noticed that as well.....it's the best option to resort to when you have low conversion and scoring rate like ours .

I think we have pacy and intelligent players that are good moving forwards...

James to me is the culprit...although he is a very good wing back but he fears to much to take risks..

Maybe that is the limitation that is being corrected tru Azpi

I noticed it too, it’s Havertz effect, he is direct with his play. In ucl final, kova Kante pivotal, Havertz Mount and warner to start upfront. Pulisic as sub. Azpi should be managed before that day to play RWB because James kill attack.

That was the first thing I noticed immediately Lampfraud left. We now play penetrative passes and always aiming for the kill.

I really don't know why James seems shy in terms of passing forward. Though overlapping and crossing are his bread and butter, and he's pretty good in passing out of tight positions on the wings when we try to evade opposition press. But he needs to do more from an attacking point of view, and the worst thing is that he has the ability to cause problems attacking-wise with his strength and pace.

His offensive contributions have sha dipped under TT, but his defending has improved.

Two different roles. Maka never crossed halfway line, while Kante is more of a runner. I don't see Kante as the last man in midfield.
