Racoon: Sadly is that no money but contracts are still over inflated. No money yet they still won't do PPP for road projects or other projects. They are jokers |

I always knew ....one day the government of this goddamned country can't pay salaries again and those people aren't even talking of slashing salaries of those useless political office holders rather that of poor and vanulrable civil servants how pathetic coming out of a shameless administration |

Optimistdude: Tell the FG how to implement it!!!! Do you expect the president to send soldiers or DSS to NASS? How? Please lay it out step by step. |

gambia: Before you people criticise government or the president please do your homework first, by understanding how Nigeria is run. Go and read and assimilate the constitution of the country FIRST!!! You just talk anyhow on Nairaland and you get frustrated that nothing is happening. Do you know the process and procedures for amending salaries and allowances of the legislooters? It is a very difficult process my friend! |

ibedun: The process might be difficult, but a government that really has the nation interest at heart will definitely execute such task. |

gambia: Okay sir, I hear you well. And that is why I keep asking you guys to tell us HOW! Just give us a few bullet points of actions the FG should execute! Please, I am waiting to hear it. It is better than just arguing and saying nonsense in a vacuum! |

ibedun: Petition is the way to go, the moment a petition is raised to reduce the annual pay of all legislators by 50%, legislators will no longer vote themselves a pay raise and anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all all sitting legislators are ineligible for re-election. I believe all hands will be on deck to see the nation moving towards a right direction. I hope to hear your view on it. |

gambia: Thanks bro! I like people coming up with practical doable solutions and the processes for accomplishing it. Great stuff! The question I have though is, petition by whom addressed to whom? Is a petition (of this kind) recognised in the constitution? Or do you mean a referendum? Regards |

ibedun: I think a petition can be initiated by some concerned citizens, addressed to the federal government. I might be wrong though, but that's my thought. Regards. |
