I honestly can't understand the rationale behind the stupid coaches Barca employ.
Being a barca coach is made easier with Messi in the team, the coach's job is to get the ball to Messi in dangerous positions closer to the opposition's box
Guardiola did this perfectly hence why Messi was a beast at the time. We have tactically inept coaches and it explains why Messi has to beat 6 players to even have a chance at goal against big teams. Against Psg, Messi's goal was from a long way out, against Madrid he couldn't couldn't get close to the box without taking out 3 players at least, against Atleti we know the story.
It's sad and Laporta has a huge job to do in appointing our next manager.
