The medical mail had a specified hospital but you should quickly contact them preferably via phone call and ask.

Those that did medicals since, please has everyone gotten offer letter?

I just want to know because some people have started their training
Re: Coronation 2021 Financial Planner/ Wealth Manager Graduate Trainee Programme by Iszybosco: 5:50pm On May 11, 2021
Yes, I know someone who has. However training has not started. Everyone will be onboarded into the academy from the various affiliates before they start.

A bond is common practice in the industry

Huh? Have they started distributing offer letters? I was in the Financial Planner stream and did medicals about 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard from them since?

Anyone with me on this?

No! Some banks don't do it so you can't say it's a common practice.

One year bond okay but two years is just exploitation.
Re: Coronation 2021 Financial Planner/ Wealth Manager Graduate Trainee Programme by Iszybosco: 8:33am On May 12, 2021
Exploitation how please? The company is going to invest funds in training you to become a world class professional. They are not a charity organization. If you get a PhD scholarship abroad, you commit 5 years, why should this be different. I am also an applicant like you so don’t think I am an insider. Please if this is your mindset allow other people who would appreciate the opportunity grab it. You should be more concerned about how you can add value to the company which will definitely help you grow in your career. You are being given the opportunity to take a professional course and possibly gain 2 years experience from a reputable company (if you perform well in the academy). You haven’t been employed and you are already shouting exploitation. Just wow.. Please change your mindset.

It's quite sad that you see it like this.

Whether a company trains you or not it's their job to do so, so you would be equiped to perform well in the role.

You are delivering services to them just as they are training you. A year is perfectly understandable.

Stop looking down on your worth!

And they don't tell you your pay untill after the training where you would have signed the 2 year bond.

If it is not okay you would be stuck when you can have the chance to get a better pay or better opportunity elsewhere.

You’ve made a good point but i think everyone kinda has a plan for their life and that has to do with time too, so a company requesting a compulsory stay for 2 years can be a problem if that doesn’t fit into their life plan but still i think its best to weigh the pros and cons as it pertains to each individual personally. To some people its an opportunity to others its bondage. So there’s really no right or wrong, its more of “how does this fit into my goals” but still having a good and positive mindset about every situation helps.

Absolutely spot on. Different strokes for different folks. Guys, just know what works for you really. I will also suggest that you reach out directly to the entity you’ve been posted to for any clarification you need. They should also be able to speak in details to the pay post Training School. There is also nothing to be scared about, the bond only speaks to training cost which they need to receive value for and in my opinion I think that is fair. In the event you get another offer that interests you during the 2 year bond period, you can always leave once you agree on payment plan for the 1m or 2m as the case may be (should be prorated )

I feel to make it fair, the pay and the job roles should be disclosed, the bond is not a bad idea because some people might decide to run away after the training but just to make it fair to both parties, the pay and job roles should be known. It doesn't make sense signing what you dont have an idea about. If you can't trust me, I can't trust you either, business is business but then, different strokes for different folks.
