Unfortunately, that malaise has also decended on Barcelona team. Flattering to deceive once the pressure goes up a notch.

I'll suggest Messi's contract shouldn't be extended. If he chooses to stay, he must not remain the leader of the team. Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong should be expected to start leading this team. Busquets should also be removed from his leadership responsibilities. Pique and Roberto should be asked to find another team.

Look at performances against Granada and Levante. They're situations we are expected to move to the next level and claim a top spot in the league table, but what do you find? An utter embarrassments. No different from performances against Bayern last season. Against Liverpool a season before that. Against Roma a season before that. Against Juve four years ago. Four coaches have all come and gone but same story.

We need a coach who can make this hard decision. Everyone is afraid of Messi's departure but are we better off with his presence? We haven't won UCL in the past 6 years. Infact, UCL has become a source of continual grief, shame and ignominy for Cules. If you thought you have seen worse in a season, the next season they completely outdo themselves in yet another humiliation. All of these happening under the watchful eyes of Messi and his weak minded cohorts.

Football is not all about talents, qualities and tactics. If you have players with wrong mentality, you'll always come up short.

I'm sorry but we have players with the worst set of mentality. Easily crumbles under pressure.
