Popular Activists have taken a swipe on President Muhammadu Buhari as he shunned the burial ceremony in honour of the departed military general and other officers who died in the ill-fated Nigerian Airforce plane.

Recall in 2016 the president also shunned the burial ceremony of the military officers who lost their lives in Borno. One of the officers who died then was Lt Col. Abu Ali whom was gruesomely murdered.

Meanwhile notable activists, Omoyele Sowore, Aisha Yesufu amongst others have called out Buhari for his callousness towards the dead.

Recall president Muhammadu Buhari recently flew to France for a summit. He arrived a few days before the untimely death of the military officers yet he could not honour his Chief of Army Staff at his burial with his presence.

Yesufu in her words said, “On the 7th of November 2016, the bodies of soldiers were brought in from Borno to be buried in Abuja. The whole nation was grieving these heroes killed alongside their leader Lt Col Abu Ali, Muhammadu Buhari on that day callously chose to go to Edo State and campaign for votes!”

She also point out that Buhari in 2016 when he ignored the burial of the officers to visit Edo state. She wrote “Clueless is not a name it’s an adverb and believe me President Buhari @MBuhari owned it 100% by choosing Edo State over burial of Heroes.”

For Sowore, Buhari remains wicked. The #Revolutionnow crusader wrote, “Muhammadu Buhari that was shedding crocodile tears about the plane crash that claimed the life of his Army Chief of staff and senior officers was no where to be found at their burial today. Wicked people just lying through their teeth that they care about anyone.” #Revolutionnow #Buharimustgo
