All former league Champions are allowed into FA Cup.

Not to mention a former league Champion and 4 time FA Cup winner plus league moderator.

I think it's about time we have standard rules applicable every season. If need be, we can debate this before the start of next season.

IMO, to increase encouragement and quality, I think anyone who made top 8 in FA should automatically qualify for next season, also the 2 finalists in Carling cup should be promoted to FA, then we can add some top 25 from the main league who are active Nairalanders. The remaining spots can now be shared and given to NL FPL Veterans on the basis of 1st to apply.

Similar applies to who qualifies for Carling cup... Should be top 8 previous season and among top 50 main league..

And if possible we should be able to match the NL monikers with all players in FA and Carling at the start of the season.

Just my humble suggestions.

All the above loosely applies anyway.

The only reason why top 8 in FA Cup or top 25 in league will miss out on FA Cup is if they are late.

Another factor that counts is contribution to banter, so the likes of Timbros, SodO9 and Raumdeuter will always have spot as they contribute to the community and banter throughout the season. Although I'm considering waffing SodO9 if he doesn't make top100 in the league cheesy

The guy is killing me. I played Harrison and Bamford who was benched while he starts Rodrigo and Raphinha

Plus coufal just assisted for him while Holgate is already on -1

Very Good!

Then, let us concretely apply them so everyone knows what to expect.

And lets wait at least 2 weeks before the 1st gameweek or set a concrete deadline before substituting those who won by right with others. I almost lost out this season because I didn't know when the registration started. And some of the regular veterans lost out too....

Thanks Bro!

I guess it's confirmed now that I won the main league (for the 2nd time now.... cheesy )

My target has always been to make top 10 and in worse case scenario make at least top 50 on NL Premier league.

And I think I have sustained that overtime.

I always believed anyone in top 50 can win it... this fantasy game is 50% of skillful strategic plan and 50% of luck.

Congratulations to everyone..... and thanks to you all that sustain the thread with enough banters; adding to the fun of it all cool

Let's do it again next season! cool

Congratulations to you also Dayo! You tried and gave it a good fight!

@Ibime we need to know the monikers of at least those who play the H2H here.... and if possible make being an active Nlder among the conditions....

You done come now. You are shifting the rules. You see why we give more grace to known monikers for FA Cup?

Some of those FA Cup guys have been around for 5-7 years and a lot of the top 8 guys have performed consistently well but are unknown to us.

If not that I remember their team names and their good performance in past seasons, they wouldn't have made it into FA Cup because they are unknown on Nairaland.

So FA Cup entry is materially based on performance, but recognition and contribution in Sports section and Nairaland in general goes a long way to helping your entry into FA Cup.

No. I first won it in 2017/2018 season. This 2020/2021 is my 2nd. I don't think any other person has won the main league twice.

I have always been in the top 25. Last season I was top 10.

Same way I lost to Raumdeuter in the quarters by a point.

Was so painful knowing I had taking a -4 hit that didn’t pay off grin

Congratulations to you on winning it. I look forward to next season.
