T. Silva is one of the greatest defenders in modern history. A player that played for my Milan team is one I respect and adore. However, unlike @airmark and his citadel students, I thought at 37, he has no business being the main stay of a competitive side like Chelsea.

He started excellently well but struggled to see December through and has struggled with different injuries and inconsistent performances since January, buttressing my claim that he should have headed to China/ MLS or worse still be more of a mentor for the younger Chelsea defenders.
Dem say I hate one of my favorite defenders because I think differently.

Well.. tonight, when you needed him most, his body could not go.. Not because he is not talented/ experienced but you can’t beat “Father Time”!

Hopefully you see the difference in my argument.

You cannot discredit the pass. It was quite good. Only someone with good vision can make that pass from that distance. You can easily overhit or underhit it.
You cannot turn a blind eye to Werner’s move that drew City’s last defender out of position
