Salamu alaykum, apart from business, how else can a Muslim make money?
I mean, having alot of money in one's bank account isn't very nice, it would be better to let that money work & make more.
Islam is against most investment avenues, so which way?

Islam is not against most investment avenues! Islam is against interest (riba), Gambling and any dealings that is shady/doubtful like MMM.

You can do buying and selling. Do partnership with others and get returns on investment. Buy halal stocks/shares. Agricultural investments sef plenty.
