The Sit-at-home declared by the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, a group proscribed by the Nigerian government and labelled a terrorist group, have been effective in Enugu City.

Most recently the group is suspected to be behind acts of the so called "Unknown Gunmen" that have taken up arms against the Nigerian state, targeting security forces and government institutions.

In compliance with the sit-at-home,eighter in support or out of fear of being victims of violence, residents of the Coal city have deserted the streets as markets,banks,schools,public institutions and government establishments remain shut.

Below are pictures from some parts of the city as at 0910hrs today.

Salah is a religious holiday just like Christmas and terrorists don't terrorize people or shut down businesses because of June 12 in the SW or anywhere in Nigeria.
