Pep's City was in support of Super League which didn't see the light of the day. Main reason why top-flight clubs supported Super League was FUNDING. So, Champions League has become a money-making pawn in their chess games. You may think 'in what way?'

Betting companies will bear the brunt (it's actually not betting companies, but fans that bet on their club games). Clubs will fix matches and put high stakes on the games in proxies to generate enough wins because if Pep had staked Chelsea win with 1m dollars, it will be obvious the match was fixed.

Abu Dhabi owners might also be aware because money is what they are after, not winning glory especially when fans across the globe attacked the owners of big clubs -- they need to teach the fans lessons.

Ultimately, football outcomes will no longer be business as usual.
