A large number of Imo State youths on Friday (today), marched to the Government House to demand an end to bad governance and insecurity in the state.

The state governed by Hope Uzodinma who was controversially declared the winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state by the Supreme Court despite coming a distant fourth in the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has in recent times witnessed series of attacks on police formations and other government infrastructures by unknown gunmen.

Last Sunday, Ahmed Gulak, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was murdered in the state by unknown assailants.

There has also been reports of extrajudicial killings and mass arrest of innocent civilians by security forces deployed to maintain law and order in the state.

Many of the youths carrying placards in the photos and videos obtained by VANTAGE NEWS are demanding for good governance and an end to Insecurity in the state.

Some others are calling for the governor’s impeachment.

Security operatives at the Government House stopped the protesting youths from gaining entrance.

wat is the appropriate way to get it?if u recall we have been seeking for biafra through non violent agitation since 2010..we have been protesting with just flags all this while..wat do we get?the army come to our protest ground shoot and kill us.....now we want to go radical...we want to go with both flags and guns to our protest.maybe the world will hear us now
