My Fellow Yorubas Attacking Sunday Igboho- Read This by Eriokanmi(op): 8:59am On Jun 07, 2021
Setting the record straight, I'm not among the myopic beings in Yorubaland ( and I'd never be). Going down the memory lane as an undergraduate in ibadan in those days, a fight broke out at Kraal ( otherwise called Kara) in Moniya at an abbatoir( I wouldn't know if its still there till date or not). Gen Buhari came from Kaduna with his team to meet with Late Gov Lam Adesina in Ibadan, warning him sternly of attacking his people instead of suing for peace between yoruba and fulanis as a leader. Whereas, both fulanis and yorubas lost their lives in that deadly fight in which people were slaughtered like ram, both male and female alike. We couldn't find our way to Ilorin where I was schooling back then.. no internet, no gsm, no social media as of then.

Those of you licking the ass of fulanis you need to think twice. Some fulanis are nice and peaceful no doubt and we still have such amongst us doing their business and we do protect them as seen along our highways with their cattle, but there are some deadly ones amongst them, sent on a different mission. Sunday igboho who's against such faction isn't our problem but our selfish leaders who are busy brainwashing some amongst us. Those saying Sunday igboho is a Christian as being maintained by some religious bigots to achieve their selfish end, hear this...Igboho is a confirmed traditionalist who doesn't call the name of Jesus or Allah. Sunday attached to his name had nothing to do with Christianity, he was simply born on a Sunday and he doesn't know Christ or go to church. I've seen Muslims bear Sunday too. Those comments made by Sunday Igboho about pastor adeboye and other men of God for not supporting the Od'ua Republic is a proof he doesn't belong there.
A couple of years back, this government said openly that, the killer herders were foreigners. The moment people began to condemn their RUGA and Open Grazing provision plan, they began to come out of their shells, left right and centre to condemn those opposed to RUGA and Open Grazing and supporting ranching...but they called them foreigners. This brings into fore a question that...do these people truly have an agenda? It's worrisome to start defending those whom you called foreigners against the safety of your own people you govern as a government.

Hear this, any attack in yorubaland isn't an attack on either a Christian or a Muslim or traditional worshippers but an attack on a yoruba nation. Igangan which was massively attacked by herders up till early hours of yesterday which the federal government was quite aware of, but chose to look the other way is a Muslim settlement in oyo state. Their king who was showing support for the herders for fear of being attacked by the government also had his Palace razed....now I think they have an agenda. The earlier we reason logically and collectively in tackling this menace headon ,the better. How can Sunday Igboho who always says yoruba youths should go and learn how to do oogun abęnu gongo and fortify themselves with same, be a Christian? Why didn't he say people should rather go to churches and pray against fulani incursion instead? I believe we're wiser as as a tribe as many had believed and posited hence, the need to erase this religious bigotry which always sets us back off our minds and face the issues on ground squarely and decisively.

Don't forget those of you living in the various cities still have your vulnerable family in the village oo.

The Fulani herdsmen who go on killing/kidnapping farmers and innocent people in trying to dominate their lands are a criminal gang. Some of them are not even Nigerians but they use the weak Nigerian security architecture to do what they can. This is not more about Sunday Igbhoho. He was applauded at first when he stood up against them but lately, this man has been enjoying the fame and support of a political candidate. The Igangan we thought he liberated is still having attacks till date.
With this security challenge, the Yoruba youths in threatened towns should unite. Getting guns is not so difficult in Nigeria anymore, let the community contribute funds and train their vigilant youths. Any Fulani herdsmen sightings should be attacked till they get weak. The fulanis are not intelligent, when they see they cant win, they will have no other choice than to retreat to where ever they came from. The Igandan youths should arise to self-defense.
As for the Odua nation thing, that is not the resolution of the problem. Our youths, Amotekun and police force has to be more alert. Any herder in the forest is a potential threat and MUST BE DEALT WITH.

Most of them are paid Fulani apologists! It's better to ignore them!

A simple study of history will educate you that the land grabbing and jihadistic belicose of the Fulanis into the Savannah/southern territory of the defunct 'Niger Area', now called 'Nigeria' was halted by the Oshogbo war of 1840.

Thanks to the Ibadan military might that crushed the Fulani jihadists who were on the mission to fulfill the satanic prophecy of Usman Dan Fodio of grabbing more lands for the Fulanis.

One of the reasons why the 'Kiriji war' of 1880 - 1896 was elongated was to prevent the Ibadan military from strategising and unifying to retake Ilorin from the grip of the Fulanis since the land is purely historically a Yoruba territory.

So get your fact right.
